Both of my boys get nervous during storms. Living in tornado alley, I’ve tried many things short of a prescription medication. One of my dogs won’t try them at all, they don’t pass his sniff test. My other guy likes them and they’ve helped with his nervousness when storms roll in.

These work great! I recently just bought them for the 4th of July coming up. I had some friends come over yesterday and wanted to give them a try because our dog has always been anxious with new people around, and they worked great. Would highly recommend these dog treats for your pup!

Normally during thunderstorms our pitlab likes to knock things over. Like, literally walk around the house and find things to shove over. The trashcan, any books on a bottom shelf, the floor fan, etc. We had an hour's warning before the thunderstorm hit, and gave her one treat more than her weight class. For a half-hour or so she did the usual shoving, and then she gradually stopped. She panted in the corner, but she wasn't fully panicked. We've also found it works to keep her a lot more chill when guests first arrive.However (and this is the other way you know it's having an effect), one result of mammals feeling woozy-slash-inebriated is we tend to get fuzzy on our sense of right and wrong. Normally our thunder-adverse dog doesn't pick fights with our elder dog, but on this stuff? The other dog dropped their treat, she scrambled for it, and Words Were Had. She totally knows better (and fortunately the scuffle broke up fast), but it's still something to keep an eye on. Which means: yes, this does have an effect. It's not xanax, but it's close enough for government work!

My dogs normally don’t respond to calming treats and will still be anxious but these were AMAZING! They became calm in about 30 minutes and fell asleep so peacefully during fireworks. They even went outside for a potty break when they usually avoid outside completely for days after the noises.
