This is a fun knife to use.
I've been using it on fruits and veggies. It says mini knife and maybe it is compared to a cleaver, but I feel like it let's me get close detail and I like the size.On the other hand, cutting off pineapple ends takes some moving around because the blade is small. It came kind of sharp but seemed to dull quickly and I was disappointed trying to sharpen it - but I think the problem was a slight angle difference between (the V in) my fixed sharpener and the blade. So, it took about 40 minutes of sharpening to wear it down to match my sharpener. Then sharpening finally worked VERY well. I was able to get it shaving sharp. Not as sharp as a straight razor, but good enough to use if you have some shaving cream. Or maybe just if you make a few passes. For what I do, I don't need it to be that sharp, but I hate struggling with a dull blade. The weight is great and it's a lot of fun to use because you are closer to the cuts you are making.I haven't tried speed dicing or things like that, so I can't comment but I would tend to think back to the chef knife for those. As I write this, it's 29 bucks and I think that's worth it - I may buy another.

How Viking Warrior Types Meal Prep
Do you want to feel like a straight up beast while dicing veg for the week's lunches?Yes. If course you do.Well, for every job there is a tool. For my savage Sunday meal prep I go for a hand to hand combat weapon. Okay, do maybe not really a weapon. But you could sub in this actually very excellent knife in a cos play related emergency. It looks cool. It feels great in your hand, nicely balanced and solid construction. A full tang with well set fasteners. I've minced, diced, chopped and broken down most of the good pyramid. The edge has held true and smooth. The handle finish has no discoloration or fading. The leather sheath is well made with neat stitch I ng and solid joins, smooth grained.

So sharp my husband was able to shave his arm hair!
This is definitely a multipurpose knife. It’s great for chopping in the kitchen but also to have on a camping trip. The knife is insanely sharp so be cautious. The handle makes for perfect handling and gripping.

Heavy, durable, and a good edge
What grill master doesn't want a small collection of higher quality tools that double as a conversation piece? The cleaver is heavy and this gives it a great advantage when chopping. The blade design and handle construction is a very high quality. The finish of the blade is a little disappointing and comes off a little sloppy. The edge as delivered was not as sharp as I would have liked it to be. But it sharpened up quickly and a few good washes seemed to remove the factory residue from the blade. It's a thick blade so you can expect a more jagged cut and not paper-thin slices. It's a great knife, has a high quality feel to it, it's very unique and eye catching. I like having the finger loop as it gives a bit of control, especially considering the weight of this beast. You will definitely feel like a Viking wielding this. I expect this will be a knife that needs frequent sharpening but that isn't the worst as long as the blade's edge holds up.

Looks great, very sharp, and has heft for chopping
I was a bit skeptical about this knife when ordering it.However, when it arrived, I changed my mind on it. This knife has some serious heft to it. Thanks the thickness of the steel, the weight provides good heft for chopping. The blade itself is very sharp. Standard shave test went well, it shaved hairs from the back of my hand with ease. Razor sharp blade. The overall look and feel of the knife is also great. Very good looking knife with a good balance where it's not too front heavy vs rear heavy.Overall, would make a great cutting and chopping knife for your kitchen. Definitely recommend!

Great Knife
I was looking for a new cleaver and really liked the look of this knife. The overall build is well done with a good finish and a sharp edge right out of the box. The handle is smooth and indexes well in my hand for easy chopping. This knife was worth the price and I have found myself using it for anything in the kitchen. I may start replacing all of my knives with something that has the same rough looking finish. Really happy with the purchase

Bad ass, fun looking knife/cleaver that also happens to be functional
This is a heavy duty fun looking mini-cleaver that actually happens to be functional! Ergonomics are okay, but not something I'd love to use everyday. Blade comes nice and sharp out of the box, but grinds are a little rough.I initially got this since it's since a fun looking piece to use for cutting up ribs, meat and other tasks whilst outside BBQing and didn't think much of it -- but it is surprisingly very functional.
