I needed this because one of my barbells had a slight ridge that made it too big for the similar style Ivanko collars. These aren't as hefty as those collars, probably a quarter as heavy. But they are more useful because they work on barbells with larger sleeves and specialty bars with smaller ones (e.g. a cambered bar I own). And they lock down quicThese collars lock down quickly because once they are in place a half turn of the bolt is all that is needed to lock or unlock it. It holds tighter than most other styles of barbell collars. And you really can't beat the price.

The finish on these is a little rough, but price to function is excellent. I use these on adjustable dumbells and on IWF spec bars for WL. No adjustment needed and infrequent tightening required. The rubber gasket between bar and point of pressure is what makes these function and grip so well. It will eventually wear out, but a new piece can be inserted if cut from bike innertube or something similar.

User friendly tightening mechanism/1" thick. Perfect for loadable OLY DB handles and specialty bars where sleeve space is scarce. Protective inside metal band helps prevent sleeve scratches. fyi: applied a small amount '3 in 1 Oil' to the threads before 1st use. Photograph is of a 15" DB handle.Probably not best suited for heavy/high bumper plate drops.

Effective collars but the threading on mine was pretty rough- had to take them apart and clean up the threads/carefully force the locking bolt through to finish the threading on the collar itself. That being said, they're a quarter the cost of a pair of Ivanko collars.

Absolutely love these collar ties. Favorite feature is the inner guard rings that prevent the screw from digging into and ruining the bar. Recommend for any and all barbell exercises

My initial impression of these collars out of the package is that they are made from solid metal. Very heavy duty. Will follow up after use. Very impressed considering it was made in China.

One of the two collars I was sent worked as advertised, the other had some poor machining in the female threads and about half of them were stripped. I ground down the tip of the set screw in order to engage enough of the threads to lock onto the bar. I'll probably end up drilling a tapping a new hole in the collar myself.
