I would give it 6 stars if I could!
Cable matters have done it again, i have been a fan of them for a long time, but with this its just the cherry on top. I was aware of how much they care about cables and certifications. Remember all those brands that boast oh this cable can do 240W oh the cable has an E-mark chip, and all fail to deliver? Well NOT THIS! This cable has a PROPER E-Mark chip, which reads perfectly! USB 3.2 Gen 2!So what else to say, the cable is safe to use, passed 2 testers. Delivers QC4+ charging has no issues with file transfer either working at full capacity on an external ssd at 550MB/s, AND it even has Displayport over Type-C compatibility! This cable blows every other cable out of the water, miss us with those fake chips and fake claims of power delivery, you NEED this cable to replace all the garbage ones! 10/10!

Very good USB4 cable, but Thunderbolt 4?
I really like Cable Matters equipment, I always found it hits the sweet spot between good value, quality and performance. This cable does manage this but then confuses me with “Compatible with Thunderbolt 4” statement.Whilst it may be compatible to some extent, it has no Thunderbolt icon on the connectors and is “only” rated to 20Gbps not the 32/40Gbps needed for Thunderbolt 4.This aside the cable is nicely built with good strain relief points on the connectors. Despite its high power and data capabilities it remains pretty flexible. It has proper USB-IS certification that lots of ‘no-name’ manufactures don’t go through the trouble of obtaining.

A good solid cable with a useful right angle end
Even though its needed to support the high charge speed this has I always prefer beefier cables like this, it also has 20gbps speeds for moving files which is really good too as is one of the more recent standards. I have tried this on multiple things charging them up quickly and moving files insanely fast (its great for downloaded movies or other big things). I quite like it.As a side note I would like to remind people that "Compatible with Thunderbolt 4 Cable" in no way is saying that this cable is thunderbolt yet I noticed some people manage to get confused by it.

High quality cable
These Cable Matters USB-C cables are known for their quality, and being a US company, they adhere to a higher standard of quality control than many other cables. The best part? This quality doesn’t come with an elevated price tag. They support fast charging and fast data transfers of up to 480Mbps. The convenient 240W marking on the cable ensures you’re using a suitable wattage cable. While the cables are not braided, this design choice allows for maximum flexibility. Additionally, there’s some molding on the cable to help prevent loose connections. Furthermore, you are also given a right-angled connector, allowing you to keep the connection cleaner to the device.

Well made USB-C cable
This is a well made and sturdy USB-C to USB-C cable, one end of the cable the plug is mounted at 90 degrees which I find offers a lower profile and less likelihood of damage when using a device with this cable. I have used mine to power my monitor light and keep the cable from view with the 90 degree plug.Great charging performance, the only downside I would say to this is that the cable is quite thick and rigid and has not been that easy to wrap through my monitor mount.

No nonsense USB-4 cables
The cable is on par with typical high quality Cable Matters products. The end connectors are anodised metal and the cable has a rubber like plastic. Everything has a high quality feel. I tested the cable using it to charge a power bank using a 100W PD charge. The cable carried 100W with no issues. Overall, high quality cables that a robustly made and will likely last forever.

Decent data rate and charging fine too
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Data transfer rates were great. Tested at around 1045 MB/s on CrystalDiskMark, which what I usually get from my 10Gbps enclosure.+ Charging rates were fine too - my 65W laptop charger was happy to provide full charging power using this cable.+ The cable feels well manufactured and it's handy to have a right-angled plug at one end.Things I didn't like:- Nothing.Do I recommend it?Absolutely. Reasonably priced (£12 after vouchers applied) for a 20Gbps cable at 2m and performance was not hampered by the length either.

It's Cable Matters. That's all you have to know. Quality, reliability, durability.
I am a big fan of Cable Matters and have a lot of their cables. When I was looking for a USB 4 cable for charging and 2x2 data transfer over USB (not Thunderbolt) that's also right angle, they actually had one!I tested this cable with 140w because I don't have a device or adapter that provides 240w. It worked as expected using a USB C PD meter. One thing about this cable is that it's fairly durable, but it's also fairly thick, so it's a little less flexible or soft than I'd like, but since this is going to be in my studio, I am not going to need to coil it very often for travel. If you use a lot of C cables, you'll know that the plugs are not made equal. The plug portion is the fragile part on purpose because it needs to break away to prevent damage to your phone or computer or other device. That can mean a manufacturer might make the plugs too weak. This cable is just right. When you plug it in, you have a positive, not mushy, click that tells you it is seated correctly, and it doesn't wiggle. I have to tell you, so many manufacturers don't get that detail right. Cable Matters does.Overall this is a RECOMMEND buy it now!

Reliable and certified USB Cable
This product is a USB-IF certified cable, as described in the product details. It's a 2-meter cable, which is relatively long for a passive cable. Despite its length, I didn’t encounter any issues with power supply or data transfer. It's especially recommended for those in need of a dependable cable. However, it's worth noting that the bitrate (20Gbps) is on the low for a USB4 cable.I searched USB-IF database using the cable's Emarker information, and can confirm the product is registered with the vendor ID and Xid in the chip. It's a legitimately certified cable, and the cable specification on the connectors is as per the certification. It's unclear to me whether this product is of the USB3.2Gen2 or USB4. However, please note that the maximum bitrate of this cable is slow for a USB4 cable, at a maximum of 20Gbps.The DP-ALT mode connection to a display at 4K60fps worked without problem, but my USB tester indicated that this cable does not seem to support the full Thunderbolt4-alternate mode, and there is no Thunderbolt certification mark on the connector. I was unable to test the connection to the PCIe, so it's unclear whether this cable can be used for applications that require a Thunderbolt4 cable, such as video card connection.Regarding USB-PD, the Emarker's registered information indicates that it can carry 50V5A. The actual resistance of the power transmission was around 150mOhm, which is excellent for a 2m cable. At least in its new condition, there should be no issues with heat generation or voltage drop.Overall, this is an excellent cable. However, it's unconfirmed whether it can be used for PCIe connection, so please be cautious if you're considering using it for connecting video cards or similar devices.

Performs at the level I expected it to
This USB-C cable is able to charge my cell phone at the expected 10W level. I do not have any device that requires higher charging capacity, so I am not able to test the cable for higher power throughput. But for my purposes, this cable is good.

A good cable, but not a Thunderbolt cable.
This is a good-quality USB4 Gen 2x2 cable that supports 20Gbps. It's NOT a Thunderbolt cable; to meet the Thunderbolt 3/4 standards, it'd have to support 40Gbps ("USB4 Gen3x2" or "USB4 Gen 4"). It may work for a Thunderbolt connection at Thunderbolt 2 speeds.(Cable Matters knows this; the cable has USB markings, not the Thunderbolt lightning-bolt marking.)As a USB cable, it's well-built and beefy enough to handle the rated 240W charging speed. That, combined with the traditional solid plastic sheath, means it's stiffer than many charging cables. It does flex reasonably and maintains its shape when flexed—it doesn't try to spring back like some high-current-capacity USB cables. I wouldn't recommend it where you need the cable to make tight corners—but the right-angle connector on this cable should take care of that, right?Note that the cable has a right-angle connector only on one end. That's a good thing: I've had USB-C cables with right-angle connectors at both ends, and while the right-angle connector is great when plugging into a phone or tablet, it's usually not great for plugging into a computer or multiple-port charger, where it tends to block adjacent ports.During high-speed charging, the cable remained cool; no hot-spots at the connector or cord, indicating it has the right wire size.Cable Matters is a reliable company that makes good-quality cables, and they're one of my go-to suppliers. The only reason this cable doesn't get five stars from me is the use of "Thunderbolt" in the product description: it's misleading. This isn't a Thunderbolt cable, it's a USB 4 cable that kind-of, sort-of works for low-speed Thunderbolt in a pinch. If you see "Thunderbolt" and expect it to support 40Gbps and all of the possible extra modes of USB4 that come with Thunderbolt certification, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for USB4 cable that should be fully compatible with everything USB *other* than Thunderbolt, this is a good choice.

Good quality USB4 cables for the price
This USB4 cable is well made, it’s thick and durable with reinforced necks. It’s a little rigid compared to similar nylon braided cables which is a good thing or not… depending on your application. The right-angle connector on one end is great, it helps to keep the cable connected more securely to my SSDs or devices and makes it easier for cable management.I have separate data cables, fast-charging cables, display cables, and charging cables for my MacBook… this one cable is capable of doing all four just not at the same time.Overall, the capability specs for the cable are impressive, and well made including its USB-IF certification. Just note that this is not a Thunderbolt 4 cable… it’s only compatible and when it comes to changing, you’ll need capable charging blocks/adapters that can output that kind of wattage.
