A very easy to use scraper for ceramic kitchen hobs. We have a lot of boiling over in our kitchen, however much I try to avoid it or to tell my family not to let pans boil over. I seem to be forever cleaning the (ceramic) hob. However with one of these it's really quick work. I wet the hardened burnt-on spilled food first, as I find this makes it easier to scrape off, then it's quite satisfying to quickly scrape it all off, somehow without scratching the glass at all - very clever.The scraper has am easy-grip silicone edge, and stores easily in a drawer, being flat. The slider has 3 positions - closed, middle position for scraping, and pushed to the end for changing the blade. If you try to scrape with the slider pushed to the end, it will default back to the middle position for scraping. Easy to use, and being orange, it's helpfully not easy to lose! It's easy to wipe or to rinse clean (although the blade can rust if you let it get too wet). Helpfully this comes with 10 spare metal blades. I haven't tried the plastic ones, perhaps they're best for removing paint splashes from glass or burnt-on food from trays etc. An indispensable gadget, especially for keeping a ceramic hob looking clean; would definitely recommend.

Use it for scrapping cabinet doors of residue of sticky tape

I'm really pleased with this, plus the goodly number of spare blades,I have one of those standard cheap tools which comes with a detachable safety blade guard, which is anything but safe as removing the guard sometimes removes the blade as well, sometimes the guard is also difficult to fully snap over the blade,This is a different beast, as the tool has an integral button to retract the blade when not in use, The tool is also ergonimically satisfying to hold and use, and seems to need less welly to do the job than the other

The cleaning scraper arrives with spare metal and plastic blades but no instructions. Some guidance on using the scraper such as how to replace blades, when to use the plastic blades vs metal blades and how often to change blades would have been useful. I used the scraper to clean the top of a hob and found that when I pressed hard the blade frequently slipped back into the scraper. The blade also can slide sideways but that is less of an issue. The scraper was reasonably effective in cleaning the hob, but the frequent slipping was a significant issue.

This knife comes with a bunch of spares but no instructions. The sliding mechanism slips frequently, pushing the blades inwards.It may work well on glass with minimal dirt and burnt, but not suitable for anything else because of faulty slide.Although it could be a faulty device, I cannot honestly recommend this product.

I recently damaged my hob when I had a small kitchen fire. I was making jam and accidentally let it boil over. I removed the pan and the jam on the ring went up in a big flame, leaving behind a sticky scarred mess.I have tried cleaning and scrubbing, the pink stuff and even heating the ring but had no luck.A few minutes with this scraper and it was almost as good as new!There is some damage below the surface from the fire but I can now use the hob again!
