Poor quality, or I got a dud.
3 month update (well after return window):This camera is junk. Sadly for me, I didn't start really using it until a month after buying it, and then rarely at that.- It constantly reboots arbitrarily.- Even when it appears to be operating normally, a later check of the SD card shows it records inconsistently, and not at the configured 3-minute loop.- I've turned off motion detection and parking monitor, but the damn thing still turns on every time something in the garage twitches. This results in a dead battery on the camera if I don't drive for a few days, which leads to a boatload of corrupt files on the SD card as it tries to wake up and record, then fails.- The display now has lines across it.- It's still very difficult to operate, as the rear view takes over the display at power up, and it ignores all buttons.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Pros:- Front cam is well constructed metal casing, much better than most flimsy plastic housings- Front image is very clear, also has a license plate feature (I decided to turn this off, as I occasionally put the video's on YouTube)- Configuration is very straightforward and easy to figure out, despite being poorly documented.- Parking monitor (motion activated recording, not sure it's a pro or con yet...the screen lighting up when someone walks past it might lead to a theft...)Cons:- With the rear cam connected, the camera interface is unusable, though it continues to record and respond to the power button.- The display apparently defaults to showing only the rear cam view while driving, like a rear view mirror or full time rear parking assist. I'd prefer split screen or front cam view, as I frequently activate and glance at the cam to make sure it caught something in front of me.- The configuration menu is only accessible if you're quick enough to hit the menu button during boot up. Took a while and lots of frustration to figure that out. I don't believe that's by design, suspect I have a defective cam or it's related to SD card freakout.- It appears to be very picky about SD cards. It would not accept any I formatted as exFat on a computer, had to format it on the camera itself. Several cards I use in action cams and other dashcams were not recognized at all, and some would lock up the cam.- Rear cam video quality is extremely bad; like $20 dashcam bad. I had to check it and make sure I peeled off the protective film (yes, I had). You might be able to get a plate number from it, but you wouldn't identify a driver's face. Good enough for my needs, but don't expect high quality from it.- Once you go through the hassle of removing and reinstalling body panels, etc, to cleanly wire in the rear cam, there's no way you're going to want to unwire it for a return...So test everything first!- Parking monitor is as annoying as it is theoretically useful. The camera activates in my garage when I turn on the light...Seems like a lot of cons, but I'm mostly satisfied with the camera. The front camera body being of tougher material construction was a pleasant surprise, since this cam wouldn't have a windshield protecting it (yet).I bought this for a motorcycle (inline 4, low vibration). The front cam is hung under the right side rear-view mirror, and rear cam hung under the taillight. It tolerates vibration pretty well, with less general shakiness in the recorded video than the action cam I've used in the past. The rear cam being of such poor quality is disappointing, but it will be good enough to read a plate or get a good look at a vehicle before it rear ends me.3 stars because accessing the menu and controlling the camera is really annoying.

Great dash cam!
Our family plans to travel this summer. I feel upset when I driving. I feel upset when I drive on an unfamiliar road. My sister suggests that I should buy a dash cam , that will let me feel easier. I placed an order of this one and use it every day. It is great so far as many guys have already mentioned. Moreover, I want to add that the parking monitor is especially helpful to me. One day I drove to the downtown of Baltimore for dinner. Some young kids hit my front bumper and the sensor triggered the cam and caught the scene (10 seconds). The good news is that my vehicle was okay.Highly recommended!

A satisfying dash cam.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased several dash cams from amazon before, but they all “died” soon. So I did not plan buy another one, until a friend told me about this. I bought it, and began to use it about one month ago. I must say that I like it, and am satisfied with it. It works well, the recording quality is good and clear, and it’s easy to install.***I haven't installed the rear cam. I need to figure out how to do so without making my SUV interior look too complicated.

Solid look, sleek & metallic. Many functions, great image. Poorly built, did not last long at all.
I am reviewing the Denicer dash cam front and rear, full HD 1080P, 170 degree wide angle etc.Two things you should know about me up front: the first is that I always wait a while before I review a product. What good is a review from a person being happy the first day they unwrap something, with no idea how the product held up over time? The second is that I take very good care of my things. I believe in treating possessions well so they last as long as possible. I most definitely am not careless with anything I own.OK, I will begin with a couple general things about this product:1] To properly hook up the rear camera, you will need to have some degree of knowledge and/or ability working with wires, or your cars lights and wiring system. Or you will at least need to be willing to take a little risk, as well as do some research online to figure out exactly how to tap into one of your reverse lights with the wires included. That is necessary for the rear-view backup camera function. If you are not, you can still use the rear camera, but the rearview image will not fill the screen automatically when you put your vehicle into reverse. Most people will not want to go through this part. But if you are already car person, and used to fixing and disassembling parts, you may enjoy that. In sum: hooking this item up as intended is neither fast, nor easy.2] Do not use SanDisk “Ultra” brand microSD cards. I did not know this when I bought it, but I later found out these don’t work well with this product. Also, get no larger than a 32 GB card. Another thing I was not aware of, and my 128 GB card stopped working after a couple months. I had to replace it with a 32 GB card, which did work.Review:I really wanted this dashcam to work out. It has a high-quality look and feel in your hand. It’s sleek and compact, with a metal finish. It has good resolution image quality, lots of options, and once you learn the buttons it is easy to navigate to the controls you want to affect. The suction cup holder that attaches it to the front windshield is easy to apply, and mine has stayed up for six months without coming down, no problem. However, unless I received a defective unit, this is not a well-made product and it will bring you a lot of frustration. The first thing to watch out for is the auto on and off function quitting. This worked for a little while, but after about a month or two, it stopped automatically shutting off when I turned off the car. OK, fine, I said. I’m not the kind of person to immediately return something if I can just work around the issue. It’s just not worth it for me with all the shipping etc. hassle. So I just decided to shut it off myself when I parked the car.The next problem to arise was the camera turning itself on in the middle of the night. After this killed my battery twice, I started unplugging the dashcam when I parked in my driveway in the evening, so it couldn’t turn back on. OK, not exactly ideal, but I still have a cool Dashcam, I thought. Big deal if I have to pull it out of the cigarette lighter when I park. So that’s what I did and kept on going. Well, the final straw was actually today, and that’s when I decided to give up on this Dashcam, and to write this review. The rear camera stopped working. I believe the flaw is somewhere in the jack where the wire running to the rear camera plugs in. For a couple weeks it would drop in and out, or get staticky-looking. And today it just went black. I messed with the plug, I blew air into the jack , as well as the plug— no luck. I started really bending the wire, shaking the plug in the jack, pushing it in super hard… I got the image to pop on for a second here or there, but then again, just black. Now I can get no image at all from the rear camera, no matter what I do. I remind you: I treat items very well. I have been handling electronics and wires since I was a teenager. I’m almost 50 years old now. This has been sitting pretty, no stress on the wires, no one has banged it around. I treated it like Crystal when I unwrapped it and assembled it, and I am the only one who drives my car. There is NO reason for this to be failing a handful of months after I bought it.To sum up: I am disappointed, and I feel taken advantage of. I am of the mind that if you treat something well you should get years of use out of it. I bought this in August 2018, it is now February 1, 2019. I would consider it completely unworkable as advertised after six months. But, as you know, from reading this review so far, it has been malfunctioning since the first month. Therefore, I would have to recommend against buying this unit.
