WEN 6528 3.8-Amp Electric Hand Planer, 2-3/8-Inch

I bought this to fix a door that would not close. This does the job and has a easy learning curve. I don't know anything about power tools but this was easy to use and priced right. It is powerful love this and its a great power tool to have even if you are only a dyer. I can't think of anything negative about it. This is the one to get.

THIS IS A GREAT TOOL , I always wanted a planer and needed it for a new Door, works just perfect shaving off thin slices, I love it and will use it fix many other things. price was really goOD!

Used it to help install doors works great,I even had my wife help me by walking along side me holding a vacuum hose to the exit port , she had to empty the Dyson on every pass..... but these 2 65year olds banged out the doors in no time thanks to this handy tool , hopefully this is helpful to someone :)

1st review on Amazon. This planer is AMAZING! Shed doors dragging on a railroad tie. 20 bucks for this thing an 15 minutes time........job. done! Saved me a TON of time for 20 dollars! GREAT BUY!

For under $30 this is an outstanding tool. A hand planer is $20. It doesn’t come with a dust bag, no, but again it’s $29. It’s solid and better made than I figured it would be. It is a bit heavier than I’d want but it does have a decently powerful motor in it and makes it smooth to use.The depth knob is large and has nice detents with a satisfying click for each position (0, 1/64, 1/32, 3/64, 1/16). Between each marked position (step) it has a position that is just a line for half steps. Presumably, these would be for 1/128, 1/48, etc.You can change the blade with the included wrench. There are 3 nuts that come off. Each blade, it has 2 opposite one another, is dual sided and can be flipped over once one side is dull.I bought it to plane the top of my doors since my new build has settled over the last 1.5yrs. Within 30 min of having the planer delivered I had 2 doors planed at the top and closing perfectly. This included having to remove one in the basement that had a few inches of clearance to the ceiling (thanks duct work). Since it doesn’t come with a dust bad I duct taped my shop vac hose on and added an extension cord for the planer since the cord is about 7-8 ft long total.Overall, it’s a fantastic electric hand planer that makes short work of smaller pieces of wood. Would be a great buy for a DIYsr or even a pro that doesn’t care if it gets lost or lasts only a year. At $29 it’s a steal!

Outstanding tool to make your wood working projects much quicker

The tool gets the job done, but the configuration of the buttons make it challenging to use left-handed. It's basically impossible. The only other negative is the dust extraction adapter necessary is not a standard size.
