Make it a priority purchase.
Originally I purchased this because I heard about this from a YouTube related to this product and my truck. Definitely go a do your research. I had heard about it from and acquaintance but thought it was only for diesel trucks. Make sure the one your purchasing is for your make and model. Setup is a very easy. Easy to instal, easy to remove if you have a warranty call. Dealer so far does not have an issue with this mod. When I bought my original thought was to improve responsiveness. It definitely improved responsiveness. WOW! This brings the truck to life. Numerous options such as city, sport, and sport plus. Each level is unique and worth it. Sport plus makes my Tundra a whole new animal. Owners of this can control from the device in the car or through an app. Both are very easy to use. Read the directions and watch some YouTube. Little Easter eggs with this device. Now the interesting part, Eco mode. I originally was thinking I would not really use except for long trips. It makes the acceleration feel like the truck is loaded. After driving quite a bit with this, Iโm really liking the ECO mode. Saving 3 miles per gallon so far over 2,500 miles. It works for me in bumper to bumper. Bottom line, try all the modes and all of the settings. This is not a mod to change performance, only throttle control. Big difference! Buy a Cold Air Intake filter if your looking to improve performance among other great mods. Get this to have way way better throttle response or options. Smiles per miles!

A+++ in my 2016 Tundra
I just bought a used 2016 Toyota tundra double cab. Love the vehicle but the two things I didn't care for was one being how there wasn't that much giddy up when starting off driving. Always seem like there was a lag. The other being the gas mileage. The truck had nice Yoko 35x125x18 mudding tires. They definitely look nice but does not help with the mileage. When driving it back from the dealership to my house which is 3 hours away I actually got only 13 miles per the gallon according to the onboard computer. So I thought the pedal Commander couple weeks ago and installation was super quick. Took me less than 5 minutes to get it installed. Had to go test it out right away. Put it on City mode. Soon as I barely hit the gas my tire spun on the gravel. Never did that just using the factory engine. Then I put it in Sport nice. All I can say is holy ****. It is like driving a totally different vehicle. No more lag when hitting the gas pedal. If you buy this product you will love how much difference you can see right away. As for the mileage. I went ahead and first put it in City mode that has better mileage and more acceleration. Drove a 2-hour trip and on board computer said I was getting 15 MPG. My last trip that was also 2 hours I put it in economy mode. Better gas mileage and no real acceleration added. My onboard computer said I was getting 18 -19 MPG. If you get the pedal Commander that has Bluetooth built in. The app is excellent and you can preset each of the modes with however many gains you want. I highly recommend this product. Best purchase I've made with a vehicle ever.

Pleasantly surprised, it really works!
Quality is good. Instructions could be better, Iโll fix that right now. Donโt attempt to install the gas pedal in place as I did. It only takes a minute or two to remove. Making it much easier to unplug and connect pedal commander. Deep well 10 mm socket and 6 inch ratchet extention makes it easy. My 4Runner 2016 has 30,000 miles and consistently gets 19.1 mpg. After installing the commander I set it for sport and +2. After 1 week my average is 20.2 mpg. Not a hugh gain but considering performance has jumped significantly I donโt care! Again this as sport mode. I picked sport mode because I was completely fed up with lack of engine response and want to see how much could improve. So mileage was not a consideration for purchase. Someday Iโll try eco mode. All the reviews of 4Runner say itโs heavy and only has 5 speeds causing lack of performance. Thatโs not the whole truth. The pedal commander unlocked some hidden performance and Iโm never taking it out. (Sticky back does not hold plan on using 3M stuff). Price is high for something so small and should cost less, but I would purchase again if I had to. And it has Bluetooth. Not a big deal but easier to view and change. Last follow instructions if you have keyless bobs get them far away as instructed and I would wrap in foil if you are not sure until install is complete.

Superb Performance, a must BUY if you don't like the lack of pickup on 4Runner from Toyota factory.
Installed in a 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road. To be honest I was skeptical this would work. Comparisons are with factory default: 1st test was City mode, nice response, after testing all other modes this will be my primary choice. Sport and Sport+ are excellent, for passing Sport in city and definitely Sport+ on highway. Factory accelerating for passing on the highway to me was definitely lacking, but Pedal Commander took care of that in a very effective way. Even the Eco mode is decent compared to Factory for local driving, could be my primary choice if MPG improves, will update after further testing. NOTE: I believe there was another review below for a 2018 4Runner and mentions removing the pedal to install...I can say definitely NOT needed, super easy to install, and I also simply wrapped the cable around the steering column once clockwise and it rests hanging right next to the ignition key, easy to grab and operate one-handed. The only disappointment I have is the $30 extra cost of Bluetooth, which for me I feel is not useful and actually more a distraction, but alas the model without Bluetooth was out of stock.

Performance
Overall this is a great product. It definitely gives my Tundra the added push that was advertised, but not the fuel economy they claim on economy mode. If you are looking to get rid of the well known lag that the Tundra has when you accelerate the accelerator then this is the product to get. If you are looking for a product that is going to save you from the fuel monster then look else where. The install is extremely easy, you do not have to be very mechanically inclined to install this the Pedal Commander; it is plug and play but make sure you follow the instructions as there are a few minor instructions needed to follow in order to install this item. As for Amazon I am extremely disappointed because I found this product $30 cheaper a month prior, so I ordered it and it got lost in transit. I called Amazon to ask if I canceled the order and re-ordered it if they would honor the price I purchased it for in my previous order (Pedal Commander had gone up in price after I purchased it to $300) and customer service stated yes they would but I would have to wait till the order arrived and then I could call them for a credit of $30 for the price difference. Well I went ahead and canceled my previous order and ordered a new based on our conversation and when it arrived they refused to give me the credit or acknowledge that the conversation took place, shame on them.

BEST PRODUCT I EVER ORDERED
I've purchased a lot of items over the years from Amazon but this is the BEST by far! I bought my Tundra new in 2018 and I really love the truck but it's always had that delay in the gas pedal and the service guys at the dealership said that's just they way they were and they had no way to change it. I looked at the "Pedal Commander" for a long time before I decided to take a chance on it and I couldn't be happier! I'm close to 80 and still drive with a heavy foot and the Tundra would sometimes stall when taking off from the light and it also was only getting about 10 MPG! With this device it no longer stalls and the mileage is a little over 13 MPG. It is a tiny bit harder to install that they say but that might be because I'm almost 80 and it's difficult for me to get in the floor of the truck but other than that I just love this product! I'm so happy with this truck now I'll keep it until I die! Oh and I keep it in the "Sport" mode because the "Sport Plus" is a little touchy and if you don't want to burn the tires off you have to put the Tundra in 4WD.

From a brick with wheels to a true Sports Utility Vehicle!
Anyone who owns a 4Runner knows that itโs not only slow but has the aerodynamics of a brick. As such its ability to accelerate to highway speeds adequately usually involves me almost putting the throttle on the floor (not joking). I got used to its sluggish throttle response as those who bought a 4Runner knows, itโs NOT a sports car. Itโs a sports UTILITY vehicle. However, I must admit that this little plug-and-play gadget had my jaw on the floor (unlike my foot on the gas) and left my expectations in the dust. By default it is set on Sports+ mode (highest setting) upon arrival which I didnโt realize until I plugged it in & barely touch my 4Runnerโs throttle then it flew to nearly 25mph up my driveway & into my house. No joke, I was literally dumbfounded for a solid 3 minutes thinking how the Hell did this tiny thing make my Brick with wheels feel like a sports car?! What I also loved about this product after driving with it for quite a few months now is its adjustability. Each of the levels have so many adjustment points that one can fine tune the throttle response to oneโs taste. Imagine it, custom throttle response at your finger tips. No need to imagine it because this thing does just that! Iโll admit it took a good 2-3 weeks for me to fine tune it perfectly, but now I canโt imagine driving my 4Runner without this little gadget! With all these pros I need to address a HUGE con. MPG. It does have an eco and city mode to help save you gas by decreasing throttle response thus making your vehicle get more mileage at the cost of your car feeling more sluggish. While on the other spectrum you can set it to the more sporty modes which will greatly increase the โfunโ factor and responsiveness of your throttle but can TANK your MPG if you have a heavy foot. Personally, I choose the Sports mode (1 below sports+) which doesnโt give great mpg but makes my driving experience so much more enjoyable, so if I gotta fork out a bit more $$ on gas for more fun during my commutes then so be it.

ByeBye throttle lag
This is super easy to install. Seriously anyone can. Just unplug the factory wiring harness from back of gas (throttle) pedal. Then plug this in. It is sold for your specific vehicle. Then just plug orginal cable you unpluged into this wiring harness. Now all thats left is find nice spot to mount control panel. You apply with double stick tape. Have 4 setting and each setting has 8 settings. From plus 1234 to minus 1234. Even on economy setting can tell a difference. But chose other more aggressive settings and get ready to be slammed into seat. If you have horsepower. Definitely will not be anymore stomping pedal then waiting for response. This controller eliminates that completely. Pair with a BullyDog tuner and your ride is now ready to go. But THIS ALONE CUTS THROTTLE LAG.

Quick and easy upgrade for your vehicle
If you're reading these reviews then you want one so just go buy it. If you like reading then continue on. I was fortunate that the same module fits both my vehicles. I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra w/V8 and Toyota Camry w/V6. I've always like my truck but found it to have a split personality and can take of nice and smooth and another time it bits your head off and just jack rabbits off the line. So I thought I'd try this to take control the performance. I found it changed the truck too much one way or the other. Eco mode made the pedal very dead. I can see how this can improve fuel economy. City makes the truck almost undriveable. It's very twitchy. At that point I decided I like my truck the way it was and removed the module. I can see how you can blow your transmission with this thing. I like my truck too much to risk wrecking it. As for the Camry, I was surprised how much it improved the car. Eco still makes the pedal dead but would be good for those long road trips. City is still very twitchy. This time I went for sport and found it great. My Camry is finally responsive the way I thought it always should've been. It gives the car a nice sporty feel. I am using more gas but I'm having fun while I do it. I don't see myself testing sport+ as I like my car and don't want to break it either. In conclusion, I find this a great improvement for any older vehicle. It may seem expensive but I've found any sport add-on for a vehicle is expensive. This is actually reasonable priced for what it does.

100% WORKS!
This does exactly what it claims to do. Installed on 2021 Tundra 5.7L with leveling kit and 35" tires. It's a totally different truck now. Sport + is almost unusable but even city mode was noticeable difference in throttle response. 10 min to install and it's like a different truck now. 100% recommend

hella crazy
okay i have a tundra 5.7 and ya it sluggish, but with the tow haul mode its nuts. When i got this pedal commander, i thought okay, kinda small , hope its not a gimmick. Well I was wrong, this thing is bad ass. My buddy bluetooth selected race mode or whatever the highest mode was and i did a 2 wheel peel out in the rain, kinda scary actually. It opens up the vehicle and still has 4 other + settings to add response. Best investment and 5 minute install, lOVE IT
