Solid product, literally. Very well constructed with a good seal. Does not seem to allow moisture in. Locks tight. My only wish is that instead of buckle/latch locks on both sides, that one side would be hinged so it's not so cumbersome reseating the lid before locking it down.

These boxes have been keeping some indoor electronics (mostly wall warts) working outdoors.Make sure to have a drip loop (low point in cable before it enters the box for water to drip off) in any cable before it enters the box. Also keep the box flat and consider drilling a drain hole in the bottom.

I have a bunch of the competitors boxes as I have a ton of outdoor lights on trees, bushes etc. The others work fine but this brand is the best made I think. The latch is far better that the others. Very easy to use. I love the small box as many times the smallest of the competitors are too big for just a plug and a remote automation plug. Very cool, I love them.

These outdoor electric boxes are well designed and very effective in protecting electrical connection from outdoor elements. This bundle comes with 1 large box and 3 small size boxes.Each box has cable entry rubber gaskets to make the cable entry sealed tight into the box. The cover doesn’t have a gasket around the edge and it relies on overlapping groove and overhang of the cover and mechanical tightness between the box and the cover. It’s not complete waterproof, it’s dust and splash-proof, hence the IP54 rating. If you place this box where in can submerge in the water, this box may not protect the electrical connection.Assembly is very easy and instructions may not be needed, however read it before proper assembly and operation for safety.Box is a little flexible not rigid and solid, but it maintains integrity and stability unless presence of over-pressure. Latches and cable clamps are well-engineered and perform very well.I used a small box to make a connection between the sump pump power cord inside my rain barrel and the extension card form an outside outlet. The outside outlet is protected from the element, but the connection at the end of the extension to the sump pump power cord is under the element. If it showers all of a sudden while it’s operating, I have to unplug the extension cord in a hurry. With this box, I can leave it connected without worrying about possible short circuit and the breaker tripping.Now, I can use the large box for other application with a power strip and other connectors inside without running out of space to make several connections at the same time.This Hrensaw bundle of 1 large and 3 small box at this price seems a good value.

This is an extremely well made outdoor electrical box. Very sturdy and spacious. It took my 120 Watts Sunvie transformer plus a extension cord with three outlets. Hard to beat its price given three additional smaller boxes which came with it. They are equally sturdy and well designed. Look no further, if you are looking for a set of outdoor electrical boxes.

This is easy to use. Not worried about the rain or my watering plants.

I had originally picked up this set for the larger box in anticipation of wiring holiday lighting. We get occasional rain all winter and I am leery of leaving the drop cords and plugs exposed to the elements. I didn't have plans for the smaller boxes, but one presented itself a few days ago. We have landscape lights along the fence around our pool area. While the plug connections claimed to be waterproof, it became obvious that the plug housing itself had issues, and needed to be replaced. The new transformer had simple terminals to screw to, so I cut off the old plug, stripped the wires, and screwed them into the plug. It worked well, but couldn't be left in the elements. One of the smaller boxes in this set worked perfectly. The glands at either end were big enough for the extension cord going in, and had no problem sealing the small wire that runs to the lights. It sealed up well to keep out the weather and any small animals that want to take refuge inside.Overall, this is an extremely handy set of electrical boxes, either for short term use, or long term. I don't really know the longevity of the plastic, but it is in a somewhat shady area out of the harsh sun. The latches on the side close the box well and will hopefully hold up. I will eventually trench conduit to this location and install a box/outlet, but I think I'm keeping this electrical box here and will just use a short cord. Very happy with these.

As many people are this time of the year we're in the process of getting the lights up for Halloween and Christmas. Over the past month I've been looking for connection boxes that would allow me to cut off the ends of my lights and justice connect the wires inside of uh three-way T housing, but after purchasing one of those units, it was clear that I would rather keep the ends and get a larger box. This deal came up just in the nick of time.When the item arrived I was expecting just the main box, and wasn't sure what the 3 smaller boxes were for, but it was clear that their use to connect extension cords or any other type of through line connection. At the asking price that they have for this I will definitely be getting another set during my next payday. This evening and tomorrow we'll be working on getting the light up so hopefully I'll be able to provide better pictures as it's a little darker right now.I highly recommend this as it is an incredible value for the price at which they're asking, and I will happily pay full price for a second set.
