Flexadin 03605874270114 600 G Jar

I was advised to use Flexadin by my vet instead of long term Bute because of the problems associated with Bute. My horse had severe arthritis of C5/C6 with neurological problems in his hind quarters causing him to plait when walking, and severe pain in his neck when bending to eat or scratch etc. After scans and cortisone injections he remained in pain, and rather than staying on Bute for more than 2 weeks we have had him on Flexadin for 8 weeks now. Plaiting of hind legs in walk is almost gone, no pain in neck, and my horse is almost back to his old self. I know it could be the steroids which could have done the job, but I shall continue with the Flexadin for at least 12 weeks, then maybe try a week off it to see if there is any return to the old problems.
