The detail is amazing. The doors, trunk, and hood open to reveal a 440 V8. Metal is used for the body with beautiful real looking, almost metallic white paint. I think the rest of the car is all plastic, like the wheels and interior, which means this is very light compared to my old Johnny Lightning 1:24 1971 Plymouth Duster from 2005, which has metal all over the underbody.I wanted a Charger from this generation (‘68-‘70) to look as accurate as possible. A lot of Charger models (like the $20 Jada Toys 1:24 Dom’s Charger) are detailed horribly and they don’t capture the swooping sharp curves of the quarter panels accurately. Furthermore, 1970 models front ends with the chrome trim often don’t look accurate either, often with the grille not being recessed far enough. This 1:18 Maisto is the cheapest most accurate 1969 Charger I’ve seen without me paying more than double the price for a Hot Wheels 1:18 Dom’s Charger, which I think looks the most accurate at least for the 1970 model year. I am very happy with this 1969 Charger.
