Safety is critical when dealing with cattle.
Being an older woman, I'm out with the cattle daily. Safety is a major factor for me. This measuring stick allows me to simply walk up to the animal & measure. Simple, safe & accurate. My bull thought he was receiving back scratches.

Ease of use and has a level attached.
I'm very happy to have purchased the Measuring Stick from Jeffers. It arrived in three days even though there was a shortage, don't know why I went so long without having one. It was very important to know the actual size of my wife's horse and with this measurer I was able to get an accurate measurement for her horse "Butterfly". The easy use and the bubble was the main reason I made this selection. Now that I'm in the market for finding a new horse for myself, I can make sure of his size without guessing. Simply happy to have it.

Excellent tool, please use it on your sales horses!
Almost no one measures their horses accurately, ESPECIALLY if they are for sale. This fold-away accurate tool is helpful. Now, please buy one, use it on level ground and lower your horse's head to measure the highest spot on the wither and advertise them accurately! You can't make such huge errors with this like you can/will/do with a tape.

The one we had from 30 years ago was much better made and had 2 levels on it. Couldn't find one like it. If the black numbers weren't worn off would still be very good. But have to measure with a tape each time because cannot read numbers any more.

Doesn’t work properly
Would not open correctly and then the hinge just broke. Basically a throw away, try another brand
