Beyond happy with these strings
Warm, balanced, radically improved tone for my Taylor that sounded dead and trebly with Elixir strings. Never been more impressed with a string change. Made a really nice guitar come alive and sound like a really nice guitar and not just look like one

Not a Thing Wrong With These Strings!
The DR Rare Bluegrass strings sound just and feel just like the Phosphor Bronze strings I've paid twice as much or more for! This set-up provides relatively thicker Bass strings to boost lower tones with what is often an emphasis on the higher strings in Bluegrass playing. I've noticed they don't seem to have the same "bending" capacity as some other strings I've played, but other than that they're more than adequate for me!

Stellar tone, wear out a little quickly, but SO worth it!
You will be changing these strings out a bit more regularly than most others, in my experience. That said, since finding these strings, these are the best on the market in that "medium" bracket. I don't care for the Rare lights, but man, these Bluegrass strings are simply the best.I'm using them on my Guild D-55, and this guitar just sings now. I went through so, so many types of strings trying to find the right fit. I'd never tried DR in the 15 years I've been playing, and what a mistake that was.Try these strings! You won't regret it!

Good string at a good price
Sounds really good nice to sustain too.I left them on a month which I normally would not do and I felt like they deteriorated a little more than My d’addario’s do. But I would not leave them on that long as a rule anyway.

the string of strings
DR Strings are amazing for their brightness and longevity . I have used them for over ten years on my 50+ year old Martins. I will use no other string!!

I love these strings on my acoustic mahogany Martin guitar
I love these strings on my acoustic mahogany Martin guitar. I had been playing D'Addario Phosphor Bronze Light, which you can hardly go wrong with. I tried a number of other strings including Martins and John Pierce before I tried these. These are awesome! I love the tone and very nice sound! They are a little harder on my fingers than the light strings were, but totally worth the effort. The DR Rare Light Strings were very nice too, but these were even better!

Better than a broken string.
They are OK. Not as good as D'addario lights though.

Liking them already
Very smooth for sliding fingers on the fretboard. I will try to update when I have a longevity update. At this point I am loving the feel and the sound. For years I have used Martin Bluegrass and thought I'd try these.

Really add warmth
Love these strings. I have a Taylor 114e. Taylors always tend to sound a bit "toppy" when plugged in. These strings really make a difference. They add a deeper bass and seem to shave off some of the sparkle of the higher strings, something I wanted. Can't speak in longevity as I've only had them a week, but I'm already buying a few more sets as spares.
