Great for its intended purpose.Slides a bit too easy. I suggest rubber bands, or gluing a silk ribbon to the slide surface to slow its movement.

I've used these for years. For the price you just can't beat them. I have one in my desk, and other tool boxes. They are way more accurate than you think they'd be. I use mine daily

Good quality and accuracy value for the money

Cheap plastic calipers perfectly suitable for measuring eyebrows, I imagine. The sliding mechanism is a little too slippy, but for $1.50 in plastic, I shouldn't expect much.But these things are clearly an attempt at Vernier calipers; let's talk about that. The Vernier caliper is a high-precision measuring device that's been around for almost 400 years now; it lets you obtain highly accurate measurements by comparing the normal scale (sixteenth inches or mm) against a different scale that's just a little different, and seeing where the two scales line up. These eyebrow rulers have those extra scales on them; they're clearly intended to be Vernier calipers.Problem is, they're low quality as Vernier calipers go. The "zero" is off by a fraction of a millimeter, which is to be expected; these are cheap plastic, not the product of German engineering. But the measuring bar (the rod that sticks out the end) is visibly poking out by a millimeter or two. That's no good. I guess that's reparable by using a Dremel to sand it down so it's flush, but one shouldn't have to.Real talk, if you want a super cheap Vernier caliper, Harbor Freight sells one for $1.99, made by Pittsburgh ("6 inch utility caliper"). They're very good calipers for the price.

Bought these to have lying around for occasional use to validate stuff I think I know like, “is that a 5/16 bolt or 3/8” or “is that 3/8” tubing” and for that they are fine. Otherwise:- the markings are off about 1/16”,- all but 2 of the sliders are so loose as to be annoying and barely usable,- only one slider has enough friction .They aren’t accurate enough to make any sense using the vernier scale and there are no directions if you don’t know how to use the vernier.But for the money…..
