Microwave cooking can get mesy, when the food heat up and splaters all over the place. This item helps contains those platers so they don't make a mess of the inside of the microwave. But it does take some practice to use them for example often they end up with a steam and splater on the inside of the cover rather then on the microwave ofen itself. But that means when you go to remove the cover from the food to take it out of the microwave it can have a fair amount of splater and moisture inside it. I find that I need to use a dishtowel to catch that potential runoff when removing the cover from the microwave itself otherwise you can have have the water from the steam collected in the cover all over the bottom of the microwave or running down the front of the microwave. With some care and learning how to use the and remove them from the microwave they still do a better job than have the mess that can result from splaters that are not covered and are still easier to clean up than cooking without them. They are also large enough to fully cover large dinner plates.

item is as described. collapses and expands reasonably easy for storage if going to put away, or for use. I just leave in the microwave so available. Washes easily. Haven't used or bothered with the mat as yet so can't rate it. Have a good sized microwave with cover just fitting inside the rotating interior glass plate, but it seems it would likely be oversized for smaller microwaves.

I've had this for months now. I have no complaints, other than maybe it could have been a little taller. But, I saw the measurements, and purchased anyway. Functionally, no faults at all. It has never failed me, easy to wash, dishwasher safe (for when I just don't feel like it). FYI... two bachelors use this on a regular basis. No stains, no peeling, no cracks.

LOVE IT !! Tall enough to fit soup bowls under it. So much easier to clean it than a splattered Microwave. Worth every penny !!

Large Microwave Spatter Cover is the perfect size for our microwave and plates however the top handle slips out of your fingers when you try to lift it off. In addition it took a long time getting it to stay expanded. I straightened it out a number of times before it stayed open. Nice quality but just not great enough to keep.

We just got a new microwave a couple months ago & we never had any type of covers to put over food & our old microwave was a mess & was hard to clean. After just using wax-paper or whatever to cover our food to avoid the splatter, I decided that it was time to invest in these. The lids work great & the bottom is a decent replacement for the paper plates we usually put under whatever we are cooking.

Great size for our plates! Has saved a lot of splatter in the microwave. Definitely recommend. If it had a magnetic top, it would be absolutely perfect, otherwise it’s definitely worth purchasing!
