Good timing as my wife recently fractured her shoulder so needed this... it's a lot better than the sling provided by the NHS. It is easy to put on and remove and has a little pocket I guess for a phone or keys which seems a bit daft if you are trying to rest the shoulder . It also doesn't have a strap round the waist.. I'm not sure whether this is a good or bad thing but my wife finds the NHS one which has it more comfortable to wear for a long period, but likes the lightweight nature of this and the ease of putting it on

Perfect arm length for people who are 5'4" and shorter. Thumb rest is comfortable and nifty side pockets meant I could hold my phone and purse with struggling with a bag. The shoulder strap is cushioned, though a bit too wide for my liking, but comfortable to wear for half a day and around town.

Can't see why states for women, as it would work for either gender. Good padding over shoulders to help reduce strain. Good support of elbow, forearm and wrist. Pockets for the essentials people seem to need like a phone. Easy to fit and adjustable for perfect stability. Washable, reusable, and of decent quality.

I am one week post total shoulder replacement (reversal) surgery and I bought this sling to give me more comfort than the one supplied by the hospital. In my honest opinion I am afraid this product was a waste of money.I had my misgivings when it arrived as it was just screwed up in a bag. No packing note or packing - just inside a grey plastic bag with a sticker(!). This was in a plain brown Amazon bag.- well done Amazon for not overusing a box.It was certainly more comfortable on my neck but there was no support for my shoulder. The clasp to do it up is in the wrong place being too far back (along the arm) and giving no support to the wrist or hand. The Velcro isn’t ‘strong’ enough and would randomly come undone . The ‘arm’ part of the sling ‘gives’ too much I.e. is too flimsy. I personally think that it would be a better product using a thicker neoprene material.I am still having to wear a sling for sleeping and this was the worst bit. I woke up several times in the night and this morning with an aching shoulder. I expect some pain but it had never hurt that much since the surgery. The pull on my new joint has made it very tender.So I’m now back to the uncomfortable hospital one and out of pocket too.
