I placed the order for this device, and I could see to work it's necessary to have the GWU4 Transmitter.This is the receiver.I will explain how it works:Basically, If you already have the transmitter GWU4 that you can plug in your Guitar or Electric Base, then to record or stream from your phone, this receiver will be paired with the transmitter, and receiving the signal.I could see that you can use it either with Android devices and also iPhones or iPads .Also, includes the output to be plugged to headphones, In-Ears, or other audio device through the mini plug out 3.5mmIncludes 2 adapters to be plugged to the phone that you may have (Android / iOS), and also an USB cable to charge it.

My normal recording setup is a convoluted system of cords, my amp and a laptop that by the time I get it set up, I sometimes forget the riff I wanted to record. This really helps with being able to get a recording quick if I didn't set up the franken-rig before sitting down to play. I've had no problems with recording wirelessly and the recording quality is pretty good. I wouldn't replace my normal setup completely for this but it's very simple to use and good for getting ideas recorded or sending riffs to bandmates.

When I signed up to sample this product for review, I didn't realize that you need to already have their guitar transmitter to use it. It is sold separately. This isn't an all-in-one package. It is JUST the receiver.And so, I am unable to test it out. I am unable to give you a fair assessment.I can tell you that it was packaged well, and I liked how the box separated the unit, the cables, the adapters and the instruction booklet. The instructions didn't make any sense to me though. It was only after thinking the box was missing a piece to plug into my guitar, that I came back to this listing, which now had reviews explaining you need a separate transmitter, that anything made sense.So, I'll give it four stars for nice packaging, and ding one star for a hard to understand instruction booklet, and once again reiterate that I was unable to use the item. It's a great idea though. I would have loved to have used it.

This receiver works well and eliminates being tethered to cords when recording. Note: this device is to be used in conjunction with the GWU4 transmitter. Battery life is decent.

This thing is fantastic! But like mentioned in nearly all reviews I've taken a look at, you have to have the GTRS guitar and the transmitters that go with it. This comes with phone adapters that are necessary. Plug it in, open a recorder app on your phone (or video -- haven't tried that yet) -- and turn on your guitar gear. It picks up every note from the guitar very nicely, void of any other sounds that might be going on during the recording. Great product! Great deal.

This is the perfect device for recording to my mobile devices from my GTRS guitar! I already have the guitar made by the same manufacturer, and so it was very simple to use this device to connect to my iPad Pro and send the audio to create direct recordings from the guitar. It was easy to set up, and worked perfectly right away. I like that there is also an audio output to connect headphones or an external amplifier or sound system. Overall, I am very pleased with this product as a compliment to record from my GTRS guitar, so it receives the top five star rating and recommendation from me for sure!

I've already got a set of the Mooer GTRS GWU4 transmitter/receiver wireless set. So, this little guy is easy for me to use. Just turn it on and pair it to the transmitter in order to have a USB, or headphone interface instead of using the normal 1/4" jack on the GWU4 receiver. I used it via wired headphones for practicing and found it to work rather well.
