Not a beginner drone but great for backyard without gettin my expensive ones out
The media could not be loaded. Great for night , fast , no gps or hold , have to trim n know how to fly already . It’s nice to run a pack n not break out my gear for inside n backyard . Faster than most “ toys” Touchy but like said if you already good at flyin that’s a good thing for me . Plus the 3 blade is nice too . I have dji , FPV Pavo ect . Sometime just nice to fly like it sight it’s pretty fast . There sky viper type r is same I left a video, bought as fast , that one hit 35 mph no prob . If it breaks it’s 49 bucks . Fun !

Easy to learn
This was my first drone purchase and it was super easy to get the hang of. I liked how they walked you through a few tricks. Also since the controller feels identical to a Xbox controller it was very comfy to hold and look up at the drone but know where my hands were.

A teen's toy that is fun for adults!
If you keep your expectations grounded, you're going to have fun flying this at night in a wide open space. I've owned a few DJI quadcopters ($500 to $1000) and also a bunch of these cheaper toy drones ($50 to $100) in the past, so I have the basics of drone flight mastered. This updated drone from Sky Viper has a noticeable power upgrade over it's earlier Scout model that you'll notice as soon as you take off from the ground. That means it's faster both horizontally and vertically. It doesn't have the "surface scan" (a low-resolution downward facing camera) that the Sky Viper Scout has, so this drone won't be able to "hover in place" like the Scout could. You'll always be using the handheld radio joystick/controller (which is very similar to older Sky Viper drone controllers) to keep the drone flying in the direction and elevation that you want. In my opinion that's what makes flying this drone so fun to fly in a wide open field without trees or other obstacles. It's nonstop action, once you get accustomed to the controls. What really makes this drone stand out from other toy drones are the RGB lights that make night flying a real treat. I rarely fly this drone during the day, because the lights (which have many different modes) are just so darn cool and really help you fly at night. One of the lighting modes even adjusts the propeller colors based on the tilt of the drone so that you can tell which propellers are in front (green) and which are in the rear (red). The lights are clearly visible and I often get people who are walking by to stop and watch "the show" while I fly the drone overhead. The battery is 1200mAh and usually runs for about 10+ minutes for me. In addition to the 4-way "flip button" you can do a "barrel roll" while the drone is flying forwards or backwards which is pretty cool. So far I've broken 2 propellers on crashes, but luckily I just swapped in the included extras. I hope I can buy an additional battery and more propellers somehow from the manufacturer. I've had this drone for about 2 months and I'm still excited to go fly it as soon as the sun goes down. I liked it so much, I bought another one for my neighbor so he can come out and fly with me at night. If you're a big kid like me or a teen with a bit of patience, I highly recommend this fun little toy!

No Replacement Parts
Bought this for my kid’s 12th birthday from a big box store. Super cool and he was able to fly it well. Still got a cracked blade after 2 weeks and replacement parts are not available for this model as of 12/24.

No replacement parts
Decent drone but not being able to buy replacement parts without burying a new drone is a no no. Don’t buy or you’ll be SOL within a month.
