A friend recommended me this book and I was very pleased to see a book that has a picture for each recipe. Besides they are delicious. They have variety and it also comes with a suggestion of meal plan. I am satisfied with this book. I also found it interesting to know more about Gout and how food can help fight it.

This book not only educates readers on how to cure gout. It also teaches us how to have a healthy lifestyle through the form of diet as it introduces new food combinations that will make your body produce less uric acid and enhance our taste buds with better spices that promote good health. By this, people will tend to eat less takeouts and get into healthy prepared meals. It also has a 4-week meal plan that will prepare and help everyone to get used to this kind of diet especially those who suffer from this kind of condition. This is something worth reading.

A lot of good information in this book
A lot of good information in this book, but too many of the recipes included ingredients I an unfamiliar with and cannot find.

The gout diet
My mom has had inflammatory arthritis issues for some time now. I bought her this book in hopes that a change in diet can help ease some of her pain. She has thoroughly enjoyed the diet so far and it seems to really be helping her. I found it interesting that the majority of the foods were vegetarian. Those vegetarians must be onto something here. Great book overall and I would recommend.

Do not buy
I just received this and just reading first pages I realized it was a mistake to buy it. First of all is has so many typos and mistakes that made my eyes hurt (and English is my second language!!!). Then it provides an overview of a four week meal plan starting with the quinoa porridge but the actual recipes start with a completely different recipes, not corresponding to the first week at all!!! And to top it off the author suggests backed oatmeal for some of the breakfasts that takes up to 40 minutes to bake and 10 min to prep! Who has that much tine and energy in the morning??? Or vanilla bean pudding??? Waste of my money...

a Tasty Dish!
This is a very interesting book. Knowing someone at work who suffers with this, I decided to read up on the subject. The author begins with an excellent description of what the condition is. Apparently a form of Arthritis. He then explains what the symptoms are and that the real cause is through the diet. There are then a number of recipes and dishes that are excellent whether you suffer with Gout or not. They are easy to follow, well laid out and very tasty. Well worth exploring.
