Good scanimation book.
Works well. Keeps kids mystified with its lack of electronics and how the pictures seemingly move.

Novelty book without a lot of words
I first saw this book at a local retailer at full price and thought the concept was really neat for a Christmas book. It is a very thick board book with a Santa that animates different moves such as juggling candy canes and riding a unicycle. The wording is very simple and there really is not a story to it, but that was perfect for me because my daughter at 13 months does not want a long story. She really was amazed by watching the picture move as you wiggle the book or turn the page. It will be a great rotation of Christmas books to read at night with her. The book is more of a novelty than anything else.

Not for a child. :(
I bought this for my grandson. Let's just say it's not a children's book. The pictures are dark and a two-year-old can't quite grasp the idea that he has to flip the pages back and forth to see the Santa move.

Santa in "neutrals"
I purchased this book for a friend that I had "raved"'to about the new "animation" books.Maybe I should have chosen a more colorful book to show a "newbie" to scanimation all the wonders. The story was great, but all the dark, dreary, colors were not the best choice for me.It is a very well constructed, sturdy book for little toddler hands.

Canβt wait to give these out!
The media could not be loaded. Β I bought two of these books, one for my daughter and one for my nephew. They are adorable!! Perfect for a toddler, the movement of the images and vibrant colors are great. The cover looks like glittery snow. I canβt wait to give these to them for the holiday season.

Entrancing!
My 2 year old and 6 year old love this book and still after Christmas will sit and read it over and over. It was bought as a part of their "Christmas Eve" box and everything else in the box was tossed to the floor. The scanimation is amazing and the story is fun to read full of silly fun to say words. Definitely recommend, especially if you are looking for a Christmas book a little different from the usual.

Cute Little Book!
Agree with earlier review that it isn't as good as Waddle. My 3 year old loves it though so that is what matters. Pictures aren't as easy to see as compared to the Waddle book but it is still cute. If the price is right, I would recommend.

a little different for Christmas
My grandchildren love these books, I think they have them all now. Unique with a great mix of moving pictures and word links. And the grown-ups love them too. This one is for our youngest of 3 years, but there will be a fight for it no doubt. My advice, buy the series, well worth the money.

Interesting book that engages young children
My children love these Scanimation books and whilst purchased a little late for Christmas 2015 it's still a nice addition to our collection and I'm sure will be fully appreciated Christmas 2016!! Both my 6 year old and 2 year old enjoy making the pictures move and reading along.

Purchased for a Toddler - Great Buy!
Our toddler loves these books and this will make a nice early Christmas present to help get him into the season! Good thick, sturdy pages and clear visual effects to help stimulate and encourage him to read for himself.

I first saw this in the Tate Briton for over double the price. It was perfect for my nieces who are 1 and 2 years old, they were quite mesmerised by the skating Santa and many more moving pictures. I even bought this for my 7 year old who gets just as much pleasure from it and arrived in good time for Christmas.
