An anti-coming-of-age novel for fans of the intimate and existential
Clarice opens as a coming-of-age, quasi-period piece, but goes another direction completely. The world and character building (or more appropriately, the breakdown of character) is subtle, visceral, heartbreaking and believable. I was hooked from the first paragraph as the writing flows like a reverie.Imogen Radwan deals with the complexities of youth and existence with finesse and sincerity in her debut novel. I am eager to read whatever she publishes next.

Amazing insight into the depths of the human psyche!
For such a young writer, Imogen Radwan shows an amazingly articulate understanding of humanity and the workings of a troubled mind. Beautifully written and kept me gripped to the very last page. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future work from her. ' Clarice' is not just a novel, but a work of art.
