If I buy two of them will they interact with each other or will they ring independently? because I want to put two up

These devices come in different channels, which equal frequencies.  It is best not to purchase this via mail-order as there is no guarantee that more than one willl have the same frequency.  There are packs of more than 1 being sold on Amazon.  These packs should have the same frequency.  1 receiver WILL work if both sensors/receivers are the same frequency.  The frequency is displayed on the round paper label on the rear.  Example:  CH17.  17 is the frequency.  Purchase 5 boxes with the 17 and only 1 receiver is needed for all 5 sensor/transmitters.Harbor Freight sells them in-store and you can buy as many sets (sensor and receiver) as you want with the same frequency and save batteries by only using 1 receiver.You can set up zone systems.  Say 2 on one side of the house, 4 on another, 1 to watch a fence gate, etc., etc., etc., and when the lights go off you know where the security threat is coming from.

Question 2

What kind of sound it makes when it goes off?

When it senses motion within it's range it makes a beeping sound.  The volume can be turned off or set to low or high.  The directions suggest the width of it's range can be adjusted by adding strips of tape to narrow it's field.  I have not tried that.  It sometimes gives me false alarms if a particularly large or slow vehicle passes by, like the UPS truck or the mail truck.  Because my garage protrudes from the front of my house, my view of the driveway is blocked.  The signal has proven very helpful in alerting me to someone in my driveway.

you install it outside, across a walkway to get alerts if a person approaches. A chime sounds inside your house, so you know a person is approaching?

That is correct.  The one part goes outside where someone will cross it's path and when they do it other part is in your house on batteries or you can buy the electric plug in  (which I did).  Remember when you install it to make sure it is not facing a road where it will go off every time a car goes by or something like that.  I had installed one that faced my daughters house that went across her driveway to alert her if the youngest started to walk away from the yard.  Two weeks ago my daughter was at the store and it was late when the alarm went off.  My oldest Granddaughter looked out the upstairs window and saw a pair of sneakers in the dark and then realized a man was standing there and she called the cops and they came an arrested him!  They work!!!!!!!

Question 4

Does it chime only once and stop after its path is crossed or does it keep chiming?

Hello. I have one of these, and when something crosses its path, it chimes several times then stops. Unless the thing that's making it chime is still moving in its field of vision, then it will keep chiming. It sounds like this . . . "ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong" Hope this answers your question.
