This was my first build, and I loved it. I found that it’s really important to slow down and understand the directions. For example, understanding the lightening lengths and which to use when.Glue lasted for the whole build. The lighting looks great. It’s sturdy, though I had a few moments when I broke pieces. I took that to be my fault and was able to fix it without major problems.The only problem I have is some of the stickers are coming up. I’ll go back and apply some glue. That’s part of the fun of DIY in my view.

I order from Amazon frequently (pretty much DAILY), but I only post reviews when a product is either exceptional or disappointing. Fortunately, this kit falls into the former category—it's outstanding!I’m no newbie to building things, I’ve built 6-ft long flying scale helicopters that have appeared on magazine covers. I thought, “A $40 dollar wood kit? How detailed could it be?”I bought it anyway.I was pleased at the quality when I first opened it. It came with a decent set of tweezers, a tube of B-7000 adhesive, and a tiny emery board. “No matter,” I thought, “I’ve got nearly every modelling tool known to mankind.” It turns out—the ONLY additional item I used in assembly—was a TOOTHPICK. (It helps get all the little books aligned on the shelves.)Each book is a tiny block of wood, and they give you sheets of die-cut, self-adhesive stickers to wrap around them like slipcovers. Some of these covers are tiny reproductions of actual books, although you’ll only see the spines of 99% of them.The parts are obviously cut by laser, although I’m AMAZED at the precision. Most of the tabs have expansion slits that are thinner than a sheet of paper. The parts remain attached to the carrier boards by the tiniest of contacts, yet they stay firm until needed. They pop out with a thumbnail, and that’s where the little emery board comes in; to file off any ‘nubs.’ This does leave spots, and I found that the CHERRY marker from the “Rejuvenate EXACT MATCH Wood Furniture & Floor Repair Markers” set is almost a perfect match, and I touched them all up!The clear parts have a film that is so evenly applied, I initially thought they were simply matte. Peeling off the protective film, I was shocked at the clarity of the parts. This kit is first-class all of the way.One warning: While the instructions are clear, concise, and exact in EVERY way, there is almost NO text. The instructions come as a series of “Illustrated Parts Breakdowns,” the kind you see in service manuals, or online when you search for appliance parts. The manual is color—pay attention to the shading to make sure your parts are oriented properly. Remember, you can see only one side of them, the other side MAY be unfinished. The printing on the parts is also impressively done. Registration on all components was spot-on.I love this thing!

This is a beautiful book nook once completed, I only wish the manufacturers would put clearer pictures in their manuals, they are often times way too dark.

I love how beautiful this kit is, it is really sturdy and easy to assemble. The light working well. The details is beautiful. I think for some part it might be difficult to put all together due to the angle but I really love how it come out. It is also bigger than other miniature kit I have.

I really like this book nook! The design is beautiful and the quality of the materials is great. It was fun to put together and looks amazing on my shelf. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because one of the pieces was incorrect. On the A list of materials I was suppose to be given four 14 instead I had three 14 and one 18. The 18 was a tad bit larger, I was confused, looking everywhere for the last 14 piece. I still used the 18 piece where the 14 would go. It made the shelf stick out a little out but it didn’t look too bad so I left it. I hope the seller can double-check parts in the future. Still, a lovely product overall!

I don't have a lot of previous experience building 3D wooden models like this, but as a book lover, I really wanted to try this one. This kit was an excellent choice. It came with everything I needed, including the glue. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The lighting works great. The T-rex was a *bleep* to put together, so I had to step away for a few minutes, take a few breaths, and come back to it. However, I won, and that was the only part that I had any trouble with. The globe in my set is etched wrong or something- the continents are mirrored/backwards, but I find it whimsical, so it doesn't bother me. I love all the tiny little details. I especially enjoyed studying all the tiny book covers. This was overall fun to put together, and I absolutely adore the finished product. This was worth the $55 I paid for it.
