Works well. Magnetic holds it secure to the board.

This unit is sturdy. It is all metal, so if the two halves don't stay together, just squash the top half into a slight oval and then they will fit together snugly. I'm slightly disappointed that the base magnet isn't as strong as the magnets on the helping hand arms. Those arms are super powerful and never move unless you really pull on them. I may end up chemical welding this to my Quadhands work bench.

A traditional wet sponge is a great option in a lab where you're using it more frequently. When you're working at home and need something to clean off on here and there during projects, this is the tool you want. It doesn't dry out or waste water - which is important working in Arizona.

The course brass wool does a good job of cleaning and allows the solder to fall more easily to the bottom. The magnet holds fairly well but could be just a bit stronger. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

The brass turnings are far courser the the Hakko I have been using. The top section does not have a nice positive fit to the base. However it works well enough.

Very compact and useful. The magnet in the bottom helps keep it in place. The top portion does swivel so that the opening is where you need it to be. Good product overall and worth the money in my opinion.

Gets the tip cleaned and tinted well.The aluminum body can bend easily if it falls or something heavy falls on it but you can bend it back in to shape with your hands for the most part.
