I personally used this on my Macbook pro and this works flawlessly. Your speeds may vary depending on your card. I have a very fast card and it is super quick but then i have a cheaper card that is not that great and its slow. it is pretty much plug and play with my mac.

It works great. Was able to transfer video from phone to SD card with ease. Can't take on the go with ease.

While internal and cloud storages have grown to the point where external storage isn't as necessary, it's still nice to have access to external storage and devices on all sorts of portables. This SD Card reader steps in to help make it easy to access SD, Micro-SD, and USB on any USB-C enabled device. Really the most important thing is that it works on Windows, IOS, and Android. I've tested all ports across all three types of devices. One small thing to note is the SD card slot is "flipped", so if you're trying to put it in, make sure it follow the orientation given on the device.Windows: Recognized USB/MicroSD/SD card slots immediately. Plug and play was no issue, and I could hot swap while it was plugged in.IOS (Ipad Pro 3rd gen): Recognized USB/MicroSD/SD card slots immediately. Plug and play was no issue, and I could hot swap while it was plugged in.Android: Some things got a little strange on Android. I'm not taking any points away from the product, as it clearly worked perfectly on Windows and IOS.First, I tried it on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The filesystem behaved strangely. When using SD/microSD, I first had to insert it into the device before plugging it in. When using USB things got more finicky. It asked for the device to be restarted, and even then, it didn't detect it. I had to unplug/replug several times for the USB device to be detected.Next I tried my wive's Lenovo brand android tablet. This time things worked much better. Things still had to be inserted into the adapter before being plugged in, but the USB was more consistent in terms of being detected.For one final test I tried to see how many slots could be used at a single time. From my testing, both the USB and one of the SD slots can be used. It likely shares both microsd and SD circuitry, so you cannot use both at the same time. It's unlikely you're buying this to use that many ports at the same time, but it is worth noting.Overall I'm happy with this device. The overall fit and finish of it look good. It works properly, especially in Windows & IOS environments. While it does work in Android, your specific device may work better or worse with it. One port at a time should be consistent though.
