This was so great
My turtles love this brand, I would order this again and again and again, since they are not available I can wait. I see how happy my turtles are after eating it.

Lifesaver!
I recently became the owner of two adult red eared sliders. They had been kept in a 20 gallon aquarium where they could barely move, with inadequate heater, light and filter. The previous owner told me that they had been refusing to eat for a long time.I thought that improving their environment would get them eating, and they were upgraded to a 110 gallon tank with a basking platform, proper lighting, canister filter, etc. They seemed more active and alert, and seemed to really enjoy basking...but they still wouldn't eat. Their owner sent 3 different brands of food along with them, and they rejected all of them. I tried several foods recommended online - dandelion greens, grated apple, meal worms, etc. - no luck. I was starting to fear that I'd "rescued" them only to have to watch them starve to death! In desperation I turned to Amazon to see if I could find a better food. I love Amazon's review system, and it really helped me out this time. Several reviewers said that Wardley's was the only food their turtles would eat, so I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did! I sprinkled a few sticks in the turtles' tank - problem solved. No hesitation, no taking a nibble and spitting out the rest - they ate every stick within seconds, and came to the side of the tank to ask for more!I did check the ingredient lists on the 3 brands the turtles rejected to see how Wardley's differed. Here are the first 3 ingredients for each:Wardley's - fish meal, ground corn, poultry by-product mealZoo Med Aquatic Turtle Food, Maintenance Formula - wheat middlings, soybean meal, wheat flourTetra ReptoMin Floating Food Sticks - fish meal, wheat starch, dried yeastAll Living Things Aquatic Turtle Floating Sticks - fish meal, wheat flour, soybean mealI'm no expert, and I can't address whether one ingredient is better for turtles than another. But Wardley's formula clearly is different, and that might explain why it's so well received by turtles that are picky or off their feed. If your turtles aren't eating eagerly and well, I strongly recommend giving Wardley's a try.

Happy turtle
I have a red-eared slider in a 120 gallon aquarium. Over the last 4 years, since she was the size of a cookie, I've tried numerous types and brands of food. The Wardley sticks are, hands down, the winner. The turtle, now about a foot long and still growing in tiny increments, loves them and they also create the least mess so we're both happy! Other sticks and pellets crumbled quickly and made a huge mess which was no fun for myself who had to clean the mess or the turtle who had to swim in that. Her behavior indicates that she prefers this food to the other brands I've tried. She has been reluctant to eat some other foods and has even refused some yet she splashes for attention and swims right over to gobble it up when she sees me with this container in hand..My turtle does occasionally enjoy other foods like dried river shrimp, krill pellets, and even goldfish but the Wardley sticks are her main and daily diet that clearly keep her very healthy and happy. I always buy the big containers since they store so well and can therefore be stocked to reduce frequency of yet another errand in my schedule.

According to Quinn these are amazing.
Of course Quinn technically swims in his own sewage so maybe his taste is questionable. After trying several other brands at the local pet store and having our Red Eared Slider basically ignore them we gave the Wardley brand a try. Quinn gobbled them right up. He liked them so much he ate them all so I didn't even have to fish out the extras.

My red eared slide goes bonkers over this food.
As soon as he sees me approach his tank he jumps in the water and waits, and after I'm done feeding him he digs around in the stone substrate looking for pieces he missed and scraps like a crackhead searching the floor for that rock they swear they dropped. He's about 7" shell length and almost always swallows them whole so there is little waste and little residue, so it helps to keep the clean tank in that way. Although it's pretty cool when he catches one in the side of his mouth and it sticks out like a cigar before he crunches down on it and it snaps.

Turtle LOVES it
I read several reviews that said their turtles loved this food. It's true. Our turtle is 29 years old now and we try to vary his diet for all the obvious reasons. However, there are many foods he just won't eat. As soon as I introduced this food to him, he attacked it like he hadn't eaten in a month! Note that the sticks are very small - ideal for little turtles but ours is now about 10" in diameter so had to give him a bunch of sticks -- not a problem though

45 Year Old Turtle Loves His Wardley Reptile Sticks
My red-eared slider who has been with me for 45 years will only eat one kind of food stick which is the Wardley Reptile Sticks. There have been times when I ran out of Wardley sticks and could not find a store that carried them so tried another popular brand, and he would not touch them. Since my little green friend has lived well beyond his expected lifespan and has been with me through every important event in my life I think he deserves to always have the food of his choice. I'm grateful to have found Wardley food sticks on Amazon and have added them to my Subscribe & Save account, so we never run out.
