Vorfreude Left or Right Ear Hearing Enhancement Amplifier Aid ITC (In the Canal)

This little hearing helper works a lot better than the over-the-ear one I tried first. It's more comfortable in the ear than I expected, too! It does enhance my hearing quite well, but if there is a fan or air conditioner running nearby while watching TV or listening to music, it isn't as effective due to the background noise. I suppose earphones in such situations would be better. Not really a fair "complaint", and I expected that would be the case. I really don't know about "live" conversations with the A/C running. Might do fine. Haven't had a chance to really check that out, yet. I have had visitors when the A/C was off, and found that I could hear our conversation quite well with the Vorfruede. The volume dial is a challenge for me, though. I have arthritis and carpal tunnel..so the tips of my fingers don't have very good tactile sense. I have to remove the device from my ear and watch while I try to turn the little dial. Can't really do it by feel. Again: not really the hearing aid's fault. It's just a condition I have that complicates things. Bottom line is, for the money, this thing really is effective and does help with slight to moderate hearing problems. Worth checking out! The people at Vorfreude seem to be eager to be of help, and are quite nice.

Useless. Seemed to amplify everything except voices. I didn’t expect too much from this cheapie but the background noise awful - and I seriously could not hear the person I was talking to. Sent it back the next day. Bought a $50 one from Amazon and it works great.

I have mild hearing loss stemming from frequent childhood ear infections. Instead of buying $5000 hearing aids, I ordered two of these for the time being. The sounds are loud and clear. I hear every little thing...every creaky noise, distant conversations...the wind. The piece is kind of bulky for my taste. I have to stick it far into my canal so it won't look weird barely hanging out of me ear. After a while, it gets itchy. But other that that, it works great! I wish it amplified certain sounds or frequencies so that my ears aren't overwhelmed. I'll use them for class and when I'm at work for sure. I can not wear them all day.

The aids arrived as scheduled in perfect condition. After messing around with the ear pods, I got it to fit perfectly in both ears without any discomfort. In fact, I had to check to be sure they were still present for duty.However, at least for me, they do not perform as I had hoped. When the volume was turned high enough for me to hear, there was a constant roaring sound in both ears. Sort of like wind blowing through the leaves of a tree. Additionally, it over amplified my own voice, so loud it seemed I was shouting.For this reason, I had to send the items back.

I am reasonably pleased with this, given the price versus a hearing aid. Fortunately, I don't need to turn the volume up much, so the static/background is minimal in a home or business setting. I do think if you need it with full volume the static/background noise would be too much. But with a fresh battery the amplifier is quite strong even at low volume. That said, I haven't tried it in a restaurant where the background noise probably amplifies a lot even at low volume.The earplugs are all quite large, I had to do some surgery on one of them to get a decent fit. I'd pay more if they made separate left ear and right ear versions; 'uni-ear' you're just never going to get a real snug fit. Again, versus $800 for a basic hearing aid...

I just received these Hearing Aids / amplifiers today. 08/29/2017. Everything was as stated in the advertisement by Vorfreude and came with directions, 2 (AG5) batteries and cleaning brush. I have moderate hearing loss and am experimenting with a variety of hearing aids/amplifiers. These inside the canal devices work very well for me. Volume and clarity is good, fit and ease of operating is great, They can pick up Ceiling Fan noises if you are close and on higher volume some White Noise. I have several other behind the ear amplifiers that cost quite a bit more money but can not say they are any better than these. For the money these are great

WITHOUT A TEXTURED SURFACE TO GRIP. IMPOSSIBLE TO TEST SOUND. REASON FOR ONE STAR. IF ARTHRITIC BETWEEN THUMB AND FOREFINGER, SHINY, NON-TEXTURED SURFACE IMPOSSIBLE TO GRASP. SIMPLE RUBBER GRIPS FOR MAYBE A DOLLAR MORE, OR GROOVED PLASTIC, WOULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. SHINY SURFACE MAYBE EASY TO WIPE CLEAN BUT ANY SURFACE CAN BE PROPERLY CLEANED. I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW----WHEN----I FIGURE OUT A SURFACE-TEXTURE. MEANWHILE, INTO THE PROJECT ''JUNK-DRAWER''. SPEND A LITTLE MORE FOR QUALITY. THE NICE PACKAGING FOOLS YOU. NOT MUCH THOUGHT THERE, THO.

These were purchased for my mother in law who for the past 10 years has had a significant hearing loss. Now I am a product review reader, that is I read all the reviews before making my decision to purchase a product. Very fast shipping and everything was included. I purchased 2 - for right and left ears. They were delivered in new packaging and were very affordable. I put in the battery of which each box contained (2), and the smallest ear bud, turned it on and turned up the volume. Put it in my mother in laws ear and whispered, can you hear us now? This was met with one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen this woman have. She said yes, can you turn it down please. So we put the other side in and again how about now. She said yes do you know it's been 10 years since I have been able to hear clearly. Handed her the boxes with the other (4) different size of earbuds, and the other (2) batteries and cleaning tools. I am very pleased with this product and would 100% recommend it to anyone with hearing loss.
