Gan Mao Ling ECONOMY SIZE, 500 ct, Plum Flower

Using this stuff I staved off a cold for weeks and weeks. I could feel it trying to get me, but it didn't! Not til I screwed up and went without sufficient sleep two nights in a row. Then it got me. But I think if I hadn't done that, I would've stayed well all winter, which for me is a miracle. This stuff works much better than other Chinese herbs I've tried, including Cold Snap and Zin Chiao. Highly recommended, completely worth the price, small easy-to-take and EFFECTIVE pills. Yay for Chinese herbs!!

Gan Mao Ling is a wonder to prevent the onset of a cold. I do not follow the directions of taking 4/time, 3x/day. Instead, I take two at onset of symptoms, and then one every hour. There's less upset on my stomach spacing out the pills. Also, the formula has changed somewhat; there is no longer a sugar coating. Now there is the original formula without coating. There is a slight taste of licorice. Having studied Chinese Medicine, I find this taste to be normal and authentic.

I bought this because of the economy size and because it was so much cheaper than what I can get it from my naturopath! I have always used this when I feel a cold coming on and for some reason it WORKS! It either shortens the duration of my cold or stops it altogether, so if anyone wants a powerful medication in their winter arsenal, this is the stuff. It shipped fast too, and the price is great! This is now the second time I have ordered it from these folks, and they ship super fast and it's always the best. You won't be disappointed!

It doesn't work for everyone, but for me it works like a charm. If I feel myself coming down with a cold, I take four tablets every four hours until symptoms go away. Most of the time, I avoid the cold altogether, but if I do get one, the Gan Mao Ling seems to suppress the symptoms, so that the cold effectively disappears after a day or two. (I also take Black Elderberry extract at the same time. They seem to work well together.)Gan Mao Ling doesn't work for my daughter. She takes the stronger herb, Zhong Gan Ling. I've switched to that a few times when I've really been going down hard because I'm run down.

I first tried Gan Mao Ling a few years ago after a friend received it from her accupunturist. My friend is a skeptic and she raves about it. So I tried it and found that it really does help against colds. I take it starting about a week before travel and now almost never get sick on airplanes, where before I almost always caught a cold. Even if I do get a cold, this reduces the severity of symptoms and the length of the cold. It comes in two varieties - sugar coated (so it is like m&ms) or not, which smells somewhat like licorice. In short, I love this and recommend it highly.PS: I have only ever used Plum Flower Brand.

I take these every time I feel a cold or flu coming on and it stops it, usually within 24 hours. If I wait too long, it may take two days and I have to take them with honey loquat syrup. These little pills are amazing!Update: I had the sinus infection from Hell yesterday. I took 5 pills when I got home from work, along with 2000 mg of vitamin C and two oregano softgels and honey loquat syrup. I also drank two cups of green tea. 3 hours later I took more plum flower and honey loquat and went to bed. I woke up bright and early with no more sinus pressure! No fever, no sore throat, nothing! I'm feeling great! This stuff is worth it's weight in gold!

I literally dont have enough good things to say about this product. I have used it for 8+ years now and was originally recommended from my herbalist. I take Gan Mao when ever I am starting to feel sick and it immediately stops the sickness in its tracks. I will take 3 pills, 3x a day for 3 days. I am not kidding you when I say I haven't had a cold in years!!! I keep this on hand at all times and I even take it a few days prior to traveling to help prevent me from getting sick. Even my husband takes it now when he is starting to feel sick and he was the BIGGEST skeptic for any herbal or natural remedies. YOU NEED THIS!!! I have shared this product with over a dozen of my friends and they are all believers now.
