I wanted something effective but not overly harsh, and this has honestly exceeded my expectations. The texture is lightweight and spreads easily across the face. I apply one pump after cleansing and follow with a moisturiser. By the next morning, my skin feels noticeably smoother, softer, and more refined. Over time, I’ve also seen improvement in overall texture and a more even look to my skin. What I appreciate most is that it delivers results without causing irritation. The inclusion of ceramides and niacinamide seems to help maintain the skin barrier while still allowing the retinol to do its job. After like a month of using this. WOW!!! My skin has cleared up! I have tried absolutely EVERYTHING you can imagine. To prescriptions, creams, the lot! I have acne quite bad when I'm on. So this is a life saver! It blemishes the skin, really good value of money and easy! I am just so frustrated I spent so much on treatment when this worked within a month.

I can't tell if it's doing something because I only use it if water hits my face. On the daily, I use micellar water, so don't feel the need to apply this after that. It feels ever-so-slightly tingly, but in a good way. No redness or irritation whatsoever, but then again I don't have sensitive skin. I'm 37yo with combination skin, very oily for the most part with dry patches. I like to put it on when I get flaking on my nostrils. It feels like a mild exfoliating agent with some moisturising properties, but I definitely need to follow up with moisturiser afterwards. Might be better for someone else, might also be better if used more often. I just don't have time for it or feel the need for it if I use my micellar water. But if actual water and cleanser touch my face, I feel the need to use it after, so basically I use it twice weekly.

Definitely get more compliments on my skin when using this. For me this works well, clears my skin and gives me an even tone.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks, trying to initiate an overdue skincare routine and DAMN it’s good. My skin is noticeably smoother, less blotchy and feels generally lovely. It did sting me slightly, just for a few seconds upon application but it’s worth it

This is a really nice retinol cream. It feels soothing on your face, not harsh (which retinol can be). It has niacinamide in it which helps calm your skin, too, and leaves your skin looking smooth and glass-like. This is an excellent beginner retinol, but it can also be used by more experienced users, too. It doesn't irritate my skin, nor does it clog my pores. CeraVe is also really good value for money, especially when you compare other retinols on the market. The bottle is small, but it lasted me a long time.

Did not expect results so quick. And I know Im still on the way to seeing full effects. I made the mistake of using it every night and then it resulted in very dry skin. So for first time users, I would recommend using it once a week and then slowly increase the number of nights a week you use it for.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen a massive change from using this. It may well be helping in the background, but nothing has jumped out at me enough to make me think wow, this is definitely doing something. For £16, I don’t think it feels like amazing value, especially as the bottle is only 30ml and doesn’t last all that long. It’s one of those products where you look at the size and immediately become a lot more careful with every pump. That said, I’d probably still buy it again. Not exactly a glowing declaration of love, I know, but it might be one of those products that’s doing more than I realise. So while I’m not blown away by it, I’m not ready to completely write it off either.
