“open box”, “used” and damaged pen’s screw cup
Purchased this as a new pen but received “open box” with item appeared as “used pen”, find out that it also has damaged screw cup. Bottom line: I send this “new” pen back for a full refund.

High Quality Platinum President Pen
This is my second purchase of a Platinum President fountain pen. The 18 kt gold broad nib writes smoothly and wet, typical of Platinum fountain pens. Slightly oversized, the President feels good in the hand is comfortable for long writing sessions. Its classic, simple design is reminiscent of a Mont Blanc 149 which costs nearly five times as much as the President. Comparatively in the world of quality fountain pens, the Platinum President is an elegant and reliable writer, and a very good value for the money,
