Amazing I could watch the Documentary over and over
Paul Heyman's DVD/Blu-Ray Entitled "Ladies and Gentlemen My Name is Paul Heyman" is a fantastic collection of a ln amazing documentary and great extras, such as his stuff with the AWA,NWA,WCW,ECW & WWF/WWE. Now onto the main event the documentary, it's one that really covers everything you'd want to know know about Paul Heyman aka Paulie Dangerously from his humble begins with a introduction of his parents to his rise through the ranks of being a wrestling photographer to being a manager and other things with the best promotions around to during the 1980's, it shows his fallout with WCW and Jim Crockett laying down the challenge for Paul to step up and change the industry if he didn't like it that much and well he certainly did that. Now onto the ECW part of the Documentary it starts with where it was originally called Eastern Championship Wrestling and then talks about Paul's vision of the future of the industry and the sport itself talking about the cartoon and regersitated characters/personas at the time with the WWF & WCW with people like donk the clown and kamala among others just not getting it done anymore and Paul also talks about wanting wrestling to become cool again and when the company became Extreme Championship Wrestling He sure did that with new and exciting stars such as Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu, Taz & RVD Also bringing guys like Bam Bam Bigolo through the ranks of the business and Raven really making himself a star with the promotion. We've covered the start now it's time for the middle and end of the ECW story at it's peak the company was a revolutionary brand that brought a new era & style to professional wrestling down to it's performers and the fact that Paul Heyman would spend hours upon hours with guys just to get even a 30 second promo right and work all hours to get things done for the company and the fact that he could inspire the entire lockeroom to do practically everything that he asked of then and also the fact that he made the crowd/fans feel special like they were the ones actually running the shows, Tommy Dreamer talks about how he was owed $65,000 and was told to take all the merchandise sales money witch was $22,000 but was then convinced to only take $15,000 and that's where things begain to spiral out of control as Paul's saving were drying up they couldn't get their PPV revenue from the broadcasters and were thrown off TNN for the WWF, it's not know it Vince was still paying Paul at this time but the company was folding with USA saying it's either the WWF or nothing so Paul after guilty as charged was done in January and the fact that he couldn't financially do the annual march PPV he filed for bankruptcy and appeared on WWF RAW as Jerry Lawler's replacement in the commentary booth. Now we enter the final part of the documentary were we begin with Paul alongside people like Edge, Big Show, & Stephanie Mcmahon talking about how Smackdown was destroying RAW from July 2002 to February 2003 in the ratings and also how Paul would be very challenging to deal with in the writing team where he would later on be put in control of OVW, Now onto the Subject of Brock Lesnar he and Paul talk about Brocks beginnings in the company and how Heyman really Molded Brock into the ultimate machine and a top guy in the WWE, in OVW CM Punk and Beth Phoenix talk about how he really helped them grow as and wrestlers and as performers and how to handle being on the main roster, Beth talks about Paul really helping her be confident during her promos and helping her really grow as a wrestler/performer it also touches on Punk being able to write some of the shows and talks about how Paul while teaching CM Punk he says he learned a lot from Punk as well. ECW ONS to now, when Shane Mcmahon got the ECW one night stand PPV put on in 2005 Paul talks about how great it was and you can see he ways very emotional when delivering his promo during that show, now we are onto the beginning of the ECW brand in WWE in 2006 and Paul and Joey Styles basically call it garbage and said it wasn't ECW at all and then we get to the big falling out in December 2006 that lead to him leaving the company for 6 years, during he's time away it talks about Paul's company called Heyman Hustle and how he really enjoyed doing it and that he never wanted to go back to the WWE, but as we know in May 2012 he would indeed make his rerun to the company with his ultimate Paul Heyman Guy Brock Lesnar, then it ends with him and Punk talking about their run from late 2012 to mid 2013 and how Paul loves how his family that he's see grow up be able to watch and enjoy the ride with him this time around and how they mean everything to him. Overall an amazing Documentary and a great about of extras, I'd advise getting bothe the DVD and the Blu-Ray and the Bluray has a lot of great outtakes from the documentary and some great stories 10/10 for me, Amazing.

Heyman Guy 4 Life
With his wrestling career spanning many decades it made sense for the WWE to release a Paul Heyman DVD. Heyman has been involved with many companies but most notably the WWE and ECW. With this documentary the life of Paul Heyman is brought to the public eye with such detail and feeling. Watching this makes you remove yourself from the entertainment side of the business and makes you realize the ups and downs of his life. With Paul Heyman he wears his heart on his sleeve and the presentation angle the WWE choose was normal (for a documentary) but let Paul speak. There weren’t questions but more answers that has weighed on everyone’s mind for ages. Heyman was upfront and talked about his early days and the path that led him to the wrestling business. It wasn’t easy for Heyman as a young child taking pictures of the wrestlers before moving into production meetings. Listening to Heyman speak there was a sense of nervousness and tentative toward his life story. When shown on camera, he carried a relaxed look that he could tell his story they he wanted without any direction or force. The most fantastic part of the DVD was when ECW was discussed. The time line was when he first started with the company all the way until the WWE purchased the company. It was a very emotional part of Paul’s career and you can feel the sentiments. It wasn’t easy for him to discuss what happened to ECW at the very end of the company’s life but he wasn’t holding anything back. What was not known to me was that the WWE had meetings with ECW and Paul regarding talent and how much interest Vince McMahon had. Vince paid ECW to use wrestlers in the WWE where the monies went straight back into the company. It wasn’t Paul who was cashing checks for himself and keeping the money in his pocket. He withdrew his parents’ savings to keep ECW alive and even fired his own mother for a merchandise mess up. This is how passionate he was for the wrestling business. Paul had a plan that he wanted to run ECW his way and that of course caused waves with others.Overall Paul has helped many who were still learning the craft of their promos and showed when the WWE brought him in. He was also asked to run Smackdown as the head creative writer and for a short time beat RAW in the television ratings. His creative genius had an excellent track record and continued to evolve the overall characters of up and coming wrestlers. However the brass of the WWE and Heyman always continued to bump heads and Paul was eventually let go by the company. He moved on to developing his new website and stayed in touch with Brock Lesnar. It was 6 years before Heyman came back into the WWE Universe and again was aiding his "next big thing".When you think of great wrestling minds not only in front of the camera but behind the scenes, Paul Heyman is in the elite category. Watching this documentary has shown that the WWE didn’t hold anything back and there were no topics untouched. Everyone put their differences aside and brought together an epic tale of a lawyer’s son from the Bronx on what wrestling meant to him.I put this DVD side by side with the CM Punk documentary because the WWE let the cameras roll and let them speak. It could be the personalities of both or the stories of being introduced to wrestling is both iconic and a road of peaks and valleys. Nothing was always easy for Paul Heyman but he when he decided to take a challenge up to task and put all his effort to make sure things are successful. That is who Paul Heyman is and will continue to be both inside and out of the ring.

'Ladies and Gentlemen...'
This is a preliminary review and will only detail the documentary contained on 'Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name Is Paul Heyman'; as I have yet to delve into the plethora of additional features contained on the Blu Ray Version. The documentary itself is around two hours in duration, and presents an in depth analysis, with plenty of behind the scenes footage and additional commentaries by former employees of the various Wrestling companies that Paul Heyman worked for (or should that be companies that have had the 'pleasure' of working with Paul Heyman). It is undoubtedly pull no punches affair, including scathing inputs by the likes of Jerry 'The King' Lawler; a person who it is no secret, genuinely dislikes Paul Heyman. However it is balanced and does nothing to discredit the achievements and visionary qualities that Heyman brought to the promotions he has been involved with; much unlike WWE's previous works such as 'The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior', a format which this could have all too easily repeated. The presentation of the information provided within this documentary is wonderfully crafted, devoid of too much association of what feelings should be associated with certain comments garnered through the use of specific music or technical effects; the sentiments expressed of the people involved in this project speak for themselves without the unnecessary grandeur and pomp that can often plague these emotive pieces. I would certainly recommend this piece to anyone with an affiliation or affection to Pro Wrestling; from the forever hardcore fans of ECW, to those who as a child may have wondered why the man in the Stone Cold hat and Davy Crockett fur cap haircut was so p*ssed off with Vince Mcmahon.

Want a WWE documentary almost perfect -- this is your best option.
In a time when hardcore wrestling fans are practically begging and pleading for the business to be competitive as it was in the 90's with WWF's attitude, and WWE these days being more of a love or hate it scenario and despite the opinions of a select few, WWE is still the big daddy in professional wrestling. Yes other companies exist and have their own positives and negatives, but they are not what WCW was to WWF back in the golden days. And now we get into the man himself Paul Heyman.WWE documentaries are both known as being well produced, but also at times biased and incorrectly factual. There are indeed some of those cases potentially here, such as if you watched "The Rise and Fall of ECW" Paul Heyman states he knew nothing about the supposed 'mole' in ECW in 1997, but here explains it in great detail in a special feature. This is just one example of how WWE documentaries can do this, but despite that, this does not ruin what truly is a phenomenal Blu-ray -- and easily one of my top 5 WWE documentary DVD/Blu-ray's of all time.Hearing the early days of Paul Heyman hustling his way into Madison Square Garden at the age of 14, to in a few years be employed by the infamous Studio 54, and having people both love and hate him in the wrestling world, before he became the messiah of Extreme Championship Wrestling, is just an amazing story to hear about a man who to this is a master on the microphone. What also sells this Blu-ray are the special features, going back to his AWA days, his WCW days, even pre Extreme ECW days -- just being able to go back in time of how gifted an entertainer Paul Heyman is, is what makes this for any long time wrestling fan a MUST own.

Ladies and Gentlemen, This is a must own.
Ladies and Gentlemen, whether you love him or hate him you have to respect him. This DVD (blu-ray), starts out by taking you back to the young Paul Heyman before he was Paul E. It really gives you a clear picture of his origins, his teachings, why he is the way he is, his early days in AWA/WCW, his time in ECW, his arrival in WWE, booking for Smackdown and of course his evolution into "The one behind the one in 21-1." Of course during all of this you get to hear from people that were along the ride for his amazing journey. I really enjoyed hearing the honest opinions from everyone from Tommy Dreamer to Jim Ross, it's a different and great perspective on all that is Paul Heyman. That being said, I must admit I was a huge original ECW fan. I mostly purchased this to hear some behind the scenes talk and stories that have never been heard before. Without going into spoilers, I got just this. To my surprise they really didn't edit him. Those stories were discussed but I actually enjoyed hearing more about what makes him tick. I don't consider him just a professional wrestling talent but a master marketer. This DVD confirms that, as you also get to see the side projects that he has worked on and just how creative he truly is. He might be a liar, a hustler and quite frankly not a very ethical human being but he is a once in a lifetime talent.I do have a couple of issues with this documentary in all fairness. The first is that Vince McMahon was not interviewed. This was quite disappointing as it would have been nice to have heard the other side of the story. Without going into spoilers there were times that his version of some stories Paul told would have been very insightful. The second issue I have is with Stephanie McMahon. It is quite obvious she is not very fond of Paul but she has no choice but to respect his talent. There are a few quotes from her that just make me shake my head. She just doesn't get Paul and that he is a genius.Bottom line if you are looking for a great behind the scenes life story of a true evil genius in the wrestling industry; this DVD a must buy. This doesn't even include all of the extras which are interview gold. If i'm a wrestling promoter I'm sitting my talent down and making them watch the extras because this man knows how to cut a promo! Ladies and gentlemen my pen name is ECWintheD and I am a Paul Heyman guy.

Amazon article said it would play on all regions so somewhat disappointed as I've been wanted to see this for quite sometime.

This is easily the best career documentary WWE has released
Without turning it into a gigantic review. It's one of the most comprehensive documentary videos with some of the most comprehensive bonuses on any WWE Blu-ray/DVD. This is easily the best career documentary WWE has released, a lot of that just comes from the main subject, you can't shut Paul Heyman up and he's always willing to talk about any issue. Lots of seriousness, lots of humourous stories. If you like Paul Heyman at all or wrestling in general, it's worth watching multiple times. Not many people are as captivating as Paul Heyman.
