Great knife.
Great little knife for the price. I've been using it for months now. The blade keeps a decent edge, and is small and easy to flip out in a instant. I can almost flip it out with my thumb as fast as any assisted opening knife with a little practice. Makes a good EDC knife, and an even better take to work knife. You can cut open a decent amount of boxes before it gets a little too dull. And it's easy to sharpen too. Uses a decent steel. Japanese AUS 8 stainless steel. It's been heat treated right it seems because of the edge it keeps. The only real con I see with this knife is that it is made in Taiwan. Which is honestly just fine, but it would be nice to find knives of this quality made in the USA that didn't cost twice as much if not more. In the end I would highly suggest this knife. Puts any SOG, or piece of garbage MTech too shame.

hopefully good quality knives
I ordered this knife because I just started collecting " inexpensive, hopefully good quality knives. I usually go on you tube and get the latest and greatest info I can before I make a decision to buy or not. I am just learning the knife language from watching some of the more experienced collectors vids. So as an amateur here is my opinion! No play in blade movement, nice and solid feel in the hand ergonomically, a very attractive knife from the visual perspective. Blade came very sharp, Pocket clip was factory installed for tip down carry but you can change for L/R carry and tip up or tip down carry. I love this knife and after I received it I decided to buy another one in the OD green handle. I also ordered a Black blade/ Black handle Rat 1 because I want to see the larger size that also had decent reviews on You Tube. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I find this Rat 2 to be a beautiful addition to my inexpensive affordable collection ! I definitely recommend this knife to those who are on a modest budget. Outstanding quality for a minimum cost and a nice addition to any collection!!!!!

Highlighting top-notch quality at a resolvable price
Genuinely a knife worthy of every cent.Pros:Edge is fantasticAUS-8 steel is easy to sharpenScales give moderate grip, yet don't tear up your pant pocketsGenerous 4 way carry (tip up/tip down, both sides)Good jimping for thumb on back of bladeSmooth opening actionCons:Since it is AUS-8, edge retention is mediocre. Just sharpen and strop more often and you'll be fine (absolutely not a deal breaker)Heavy usage (wood) may slightly scrape away at black coating (I've had the knife for a full year and only noticed minor scratches at the edge of the coating).

Good compromise for an EDC RAT for those that care for a smaller blade.
Great little knife. It's a nice downsized, easy to carry version of it's big brother. It's more suited to an EDC role thanks to it's more compact size and thinner profile so it is more out of the way in your pocket. Good clip, but stiff and can be a pain to get it to grab your pocket, but that may not be a bad thing as it will not go anywhere once you get it clipped on. The black finish is garbage though. It's flaking off and I've only had it a few months with moderate use.Same great scales, same solid price point AUS-8. Only in a more carry friendly size. Pick one up today, though I say go with the satin blade and avoid the low end blade coating (it's just paint, and not even powder coated).

Great value purchase
Just got the knife for my wife. It came very sharp out of the box. It will shave arm hairs!! The brown handle is good color contrast with black blade. The handle does not have great grip and is smooth. This knife is a great value purchase. I'm ordering another. I will follow up review after one month. Update: I recieved my second knife today. My wife lost the first one. Cant live without it. It's really a good knife.

Great knife!
I love this knife! It's solid value for the money! Comes super sharp right out of the box! I did like a hundred paper slice tests. It's officially my everyday carry now and I normally carry a custom Benchmade. The best part is if you lose a Benchmade It's painful...but a RAT2 is so well priced you can afford like 10 of them for the same price! If you're on the fence, just try it, you'll love it!

Good knife, wrong color
Knife was not a fake, thats good. Perfect size, well made. Was an original Randalls marked blade which was cool. Ordered Coyote Brown and recieved Bone white. Will be returning for the color I ordered.
