Best truck book for a toddler
My 2 1/2 year old grandson loves this book, and has from the moment he saw it. The variety of page shapes and the colorful illustrations draw his interest every time he visits us.

and sturdy enough. However
It is a cute book, and sturdy enough. However, they named two of the vehicles incorrectly. I would not buy it again.

This is a unique book that little movers and shakers are certainly going to love!
It’s all in a day’s work! Work on a construction site, that is. Everyone has a big job to do, so let’s get those construction hats on and begin. Zebra’s pumped and ready to go. He’s got the blueprints of the job in hand, holding them up high so his crew can see them. “Hello!” he explained to them. “I am Zebra, the construction foreman. Are you ready? The work is starting!” Mouse got his backhoe loaded with gravel and off he went. Monkey is on the move with his dump truck emptying out a full load. “Beep, beep, beep!”Everyone has a job to do on the construction site. The blueprints call for underground wiring so Dog has his hydraulic drill out. Hey, “Start the cement mixer! Pig needs more cement.” Look at him go, Pig is working those bricks like a pro! There are lots of workers on the job including Elephant, Giraffe, Cat, and Bear. Do you know what kinds of jobs are done on a construction site? If not, you’ll see the animals at work in this book. Watch out, Cat’s on the move with that huge crane! This is a unique book that little movers and shakers are certainly going to love. The setup of this book is much different than the usual board book. It is a board book, but as the pages are turn it is similar to a popup book. It’s layered so we can see several of the workers on the construction site, but when the pages begin to turn we see them at work. This is one of those very special board books that’s lots of fun to read to a toddler. It’s also a perfect book for circle or storytime ... or any time for that matter!•► CERTIFICATIONS:ASPIAASTEN71MARIE FORDACQ: Construction Vehicles (Let’s Step) My World, My Words: A Toddler’s First Words New Homes For Our Little Friends: Help Our Little Friends Move into Their New Homes (Magnetology) Construction Sites (Magnetology) Baby Animals (Magnetology) Fire House: Play-GoRound This book courtesy of the publisher.

Adorable!
This is an adorable board book that is sure to appeal to young construction fans, With its cutaway shapes and charming animal characters, this book is visually exciting and thoroughly engaging. Each page features a different construction vehicle. There's a backhoe, dump truck, hydraulic drill, cement mixer and crane. The zebra construction foreman leads them all in building a house. The only thing I thought odd about this little story is that it didn't end with a finished construction project. The final page states "The house is almost finished". It felt a little anticlimactic, but I would be surprised if most young toddlers will even notice. They will be too busy examining the cut out shapes and the brightly colored illustrations. The book itself is surprisingly sturdy, so I expect it will last through many repeat reads. An enthusiastic recommend.*Book received from publisher for review purposes.
