Not compatible with google cast or Google home
Item is not compatible with google home or Chromecast. It will not connect, it will mirror your screen but you can't use your phone for other functions. If the speed is only wifi 2g and you're not so close to the modem, it will lose the video quality. If you're a person that wants to be able to use your phone even when casting a video to your TV screen, this is not the device I would suggest. No settings are available for the device under google home. Not saying it can't work for mirroring your screen just, not for streaming a video from phone to TV.

Does as intended.
I was a little hesitant about getting this, but glad I got it. I had bought this for just screen sharing from my phone. but I now connect my Desktop and use as a projector for meetings in Home office. Glad it has the instructions book, would be confused with out it.

Not what I expected but it is what it is
Got everything to connect but can’t see image. Goes in and out when watching movie. It stalls and disconnected me from WiFi. :/

Very dissapointing device
You need to be a computer scientist in order to make it work. The other Chromecast I have is so easy to operate but this one is close to impossible. And after a few days from the minute you get it working , the connection is lost and you have to start the saga all over again.

Would not save configuration settings
Dongle would not save settings after it was configured. Kept defaulting to factory setting after locking up
