Most such clocks are light and flimsy. This is solid and has a good hand. An immediate glance and touch and you know it was built with some integrity. The wood is nicely finished and the face of the clock is easy to read and although it is just a face, conveys quality. The off/on switch is horizontal and while small like most of them, moves off easily so that there is little risk of knocking the clock off the table. If one turns on the easy to reach light when the alarm goes off, this activates the snooze which actually works quite accurately. The light switch is at 12 o'clock on the back so it can be found and pressed easily. The light itself is at around 1 o'clock and generously lights the entire face. The off switch is at 3 o'clock and can be easily turned off in that it moves smoothly. The alarm is loud enough for most people but I am hard of hearing, so it takes a bit of time to wake me, but that is the fault of my ears and not the fault of the clock. The clocks with the big, heavy clappers generally make so much running noise that even the hard of hearing eventually find the sound disturbing in a quiet bedroom. I would judge the clock to be a bargain at the price sold and the integral quality. It is really too low priced compared to the shoddy competition. I cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied and if they are, the customer service is readily available in an email address provided, and based on the few negative comments, the company quickly rectified any negative situation. Most stuff made in China has a well deserved poor reputation, but this is certainly the exception.

This clock is exactly what I was looking for: I wanted an analog clock that was quiet. I can hear clocks ticking from very far away, and I used to have to move my noisy clock to another room so I could sleep. This Yacig wood alarm clock is super quiet, is lightweight, stylish, affordable, and has a pleasant alarm. I can keep it in my bedroom and it doesn't make any sound to wake me. There's a button on the back that lights up the clock face so I can see the time in the dark. There are 2 little rubber 'feet' on the bottom to help keep the clock secure. The clock even came with replacement feet and a replacement cover for the battery compartment! Very thoughtful details. I think this clock is a bargain, with a number of reasons it's a great buy.

I purchased this clock less than 4 months ago and it is already having problems with the time. It was 20 minutes behind my other clocks, so I figured it must have been the battery. Unfortunately, I changed the battery just a week ago and it is already 15 minutes behind my other clocks again. I think something is wrong with the function of the second hand. Thank goodness I never used this as an alarm clock!!! It’s a shame because the clock is very handsome, but if it can’t perform its basic function, then it’s just a waste of money.UPDATE (3.3.18): A few days ago I received a free replacement clock from the company with a lovely card hoping that this one works out better for me. I updated my rating from 1 to 4 stars because I thought it was a wonderful gesture from the company to try and rectify the situation. I’ll update again if there are any issues with the replacement.Thank you, Yacig!

This is a gorgeous clock that is easy to read form a distance, even without glasses. But the first one of these we purchased stopped working when knocked over backwards on the bath counter, a distance of what, two inches? It was immediately replaced, as we really like the look of the clock. Classic. The replacement has also been knocked over a time or two, but seems to be working fine.Update: Now have reduced my original review to two stars, as the replacement clock is having the same problem (second hand moves, but the other hands do not). We like the look of the clock so much we're considering taking it to a clock shop to have the movement replaced with something that actually works. This is a beautiful piece, but if you need a clock that's ACTUALLY a clock, look elsewhere.

My wife has a digital alarm clock with all the bells and whistles. It takes me 45 minutes to set the time and alarm. Very confusing. This uniquely beautiful wood alarm clock has only 3 knobs: 1 to change the time, one to set the alarm time, and a toggle switch to turn the alarm on and off. That's it! So simple I won't even mind going on and off Daylight Savings Time. Just the turn of a knob turns the time back or move's it ahead one hour. The alarm starts of softly and gradually grows louder if you don't respond and turn it off. It wakes me up just fine! I love the sweeping second hand, too. It takes just one AA battery to power it up it's inexpensive to use. All in all a fantastic, great looking clock at a reasonable price.

Very nice alarm , numbers not too big, not too small. Randomly stopped working with minimal touch. Had to tap it and reset it multiple times to restart it. Tried changing battery(although newly installed). Also tried installing or changing battery vinsert cap. No luck. Doesn’t feel like wood, either…super lightweight to be wood.

This clock does what it's supposed to -- keeps time quietly, wakes you up gently. No bells or whistles, but an attractive classic design. Materials are real and solid enough, if not exactly expensive-feeling.I didn't have any initial trouble with accuracy as others have reported, but I knocked mine off my dresser and the impact jarred one of the hands loose. With no easy way to open and re-glue it, I contacted the seller for help. They responded promptly, confirmed my shipping address, and sent me a new clock along with a polite note and a smaller travel alarm clock thrown in as a kicker. A lot of Chinese companies put very little effort into standing behind their products, so this was a pleasant surprise. I'll just try not to drop my new clock!

With a new battery, it does not keep time, is always slow and wrong.
