It's a beautiful product but I regret that performance doesn't match up.
I have found from experience of this product that a fabric lining is not a good idea for a bread box. I have found that good quality fresh moist bread goes moldy in as few as four days, although it's possible that a very light dry bread would fare better. VIPP told me I should wash the lining at 90 degrees once it gets mold on it. But the lining has a chunky rubber seal attached to it, which makes it difficult to hold down in a pan, and the rubber distorts when curled into a pan, although this itself hasn't been a major problem; then you have to dry the thick canvas fabric and start all over again. What an unnecessary hassle! You can buy a replacement fabric liner at a substantial cost, but experience of the VIPP box leads me to conclude that it is much more sensible to have a wipe-clean interior to a bread bin. The fabric is a nice idea, but in practice it is a good example of prioritising design over function. I don't think the product is fit for purpose but so far VIPP won't admit this and won't give me my money back.
