This reel works as expected. It is a nice smooth clicker and it is a good value. The size is just right for what I wanted.

We primarily use it for saltwater surf trolling for smaller catches, and it handles the task with ease. The name of the shop, Burning Shark, really caught my attention and I think it fits perfectly with the product's rugged design.The reel action is smooth and tight, which makes for a satisfying fishing experience. I got this Burning Shark left-handed conventional reel with line counter for catfishing and paired it on a 9' medium heavy rod. The Reel feels very light compared to my other reels of this size. Made of plastic it feels kind of cheap, but it reels really smooth. The drag clamps down the spool really well. This conventional reel has a bail click that you can actually hear. I do not like the handle! The size is perfect and has two holes for adjusting, but the knob is like hard plastic. I think it will get slick in wet conditions or when I can't wash the slime off my hands. Then there is the line counter, I have not used a line counter before. It seems to count in reverse. If I cast at "000" it will be at say 900 when it hits the water. Now I know I don't cast 300 yards. The Line guide on this reel does a really good job of spooling the line level with every cast. The spool brake work great making for easy casting over and over again. For under $50 this reel is really good even with its oddities.

This reel is gorgeous.The colors.The level wind.Then line counter.The drag.The spool capacity.The frame.The bearings are smooth.The drag lever is crisp.The gears seems quite strong.All Great......Unfortunately I cannot use this reel.As much As I really want to use this reel I was not paying attention, or over looked the fact:.........It is left handed, and I and right handed......So doing my due diligence I will base my review on its construction, appearance, and potential usage.But unfortunately beyond that, I am sure its performance is on par with its construction...I appologise.

Good reel with click feature for trolling. Seems to have nice drag and smooth retrieve on first few uses.
