Superb quality and scent.
My son has very thick fast-growing curly beard growth but likes to remain clean-shaven. He has very sensitive skin. This product gives a good 6 months' worth of daily shaving use with no irritation. The scent is wonderful, and it leaves skin feeling refreshed and calm. So it is good value for money. It's made in the UK and is a refill for a very attractive and practical "stone", which is a resin shaving bowl with a lid that looks great left out on permanent display in our shared household family bathroom.I purchased this as a Xmas stocking filler to refill my son's existing Sense of Scotland shaving bowl and will purchase it again for his birthday in July. Wet shaving using a standard safety razor is the more ecologically friendly and economical shaving method, as well as being much more effective for a very smooth clean shave. For a Spa/Barbershop experience at home, this fits the bill as the quality of this shaving soap is really very good indeed. It would make a wonderful gift for the "man who has everything" in any age group.

Very creamy lather, very subtle fragrance
Very happy I took a chance on this shave soap. It lathers up very creamy and helps to give a smooth shave. I stay clean shaven so I cannot comment on how well it works with a full beard.The fragrance is very subtle - maybe a bit too subtle - I would have liked it to be a bit stronger. "Machrie" is a difficult fragrance to describe. I would say it's a bit of salty sea air and moss and a "barely-there" citrus tone.When this puck is done I'm going to stick with this brand and try one of their spicier fragrances, something more like patchouli or cedarwood.

Good but overpriced.
For a replacement refill this is an outrageous price for soap. I bought a really luxurious alternative for half the price.

Lovely subtly scented shaving soap
This shaving soap reafill fits nicely into the original shaving stone. The refill represents excellent value for money as it lasts over a year.

Smells lovely and does what it says on the tin.
Smells lovely and didn’t cause irritation (I have sensitive skin). Made a nice lather and fits my shaving soap bowl perfectly. Cardboard packaging is recyclable.
