I bought a single piece of this black adhesive background at a big box pet store several years ago and probably paid more than this for the single piece. It didn't stick very well so I ended up having to tape it. Also, if it gets wet, without tape it will pry loose and also eventually show calcium and water stains. This roll of backing is a much better deal for the price. I still used some tape to keep it in place thought it did adhere just fine. It is definitely easy to install. If it's a new tank, I do suggest pulling it away from the wall to install the background first before you fill it with water! And being black, it will eventually show calcium if it gets wet back there, but it's easy to clean. Would recommend.

I almost gave this one star until I realized my mistake. There is a clear film covering the shiny side of the background. It was impossible for me to remove this clear film by hand. I ended up having to put a piece of tape onto the shiny side in a corner and then peel the background away from it. I almost gave up. But once you get the film off, it's perfect. Do not skip the part where you need to spray water on the tank. This will get out all bubbles and lines.Now that I understand the process, I will be ordering more.

I got this for my aquarium. I got to say that it’s better than what I expected. The price was great. I’m not sure what I expected but it’s a good quality. Looks great in my aquarium. It’s dark the way it should be. I recommend this product if you have an aquarium. Good quality and great price.
