Surgilube Lubricating Jelly, 2 Ounce

This tube is huge. O will probably never use it all. If I had to do it again, I would have opted for the 1oz option. The lube itself is good and is as effective as the KY product I had been using. It's great for inserting catheters and for conductive devices used for electronic muscle stimulation. KY in my opinion leaves behind a sticky sensation after ut us wiped or dries. This Surgilube doesn't have that quality.

These are a lot bigger than I expected, which is nice. Even better that it comes in a 2 pack. You'll get plenty of uses out of it. Just be sure to not touch the tip of the tube against anything or else the lube won't be sterile anymore. My only complaint is that if you use this lube, it dries out relatively fast. External uses wont last very long compared to internal use. I also don't like that once it dries, it becomes flaky and crystal like (much like elmer's glue). The consistency is similar to hot glue / toothpaste and it spreads easily.

Catheters need lube, I need catheters to live. Therefore, Surgilube helps keep me alive. I’m pretty happy about that.

This is a great value on a product well respected by those who must use it with a medical appliance. You need to note that these tubes have old fashioned screw on caps, they do not come with a flip top. More importantly, these are old fashioned metal tubes, they are not the modern plastic type. Why is this important? They were shipped with no protective packaging to absorb pressure or impact, and one of the metal tubes developed a small split. The lubricant began to ooze out, so I had to clean up the mess when I opened the plastic wrap that held the three tubes together. The sterility of the product is compromised by the split in the tube. I would have rated this with five stars if all tubes had been delivered intact.

This product is very useful. I use it when doing coffee enemas that are a part of my cleansing/detox regime. If you have surgical grade rubber tubing attached to your enema bag/bucket, it won't deteriorate the rubber like an oil lubricant will.
