These are washable cotton muslin bags. We use the bags for shopping (dry) and when we get home we spray off the delicate greens (lettuce, basil, green beans, etc.), put them back into the bag wet, and place them in the refrigerator crisper drawers. The bag will become moist from the drops on the veggies, and this forms a humid tent around them, keeping them from wilting and drying out as fast. Sort of like the spray misters that keep veggies moist at some grocery stores.
