Amazing quality, super easy to use, just had to conect the external drive into my mac book pro via usb-c and put in my cd, worked straight away.I bought the apple superdrive believing it to ne the best (being an apple product) however when connecting the apple superdrive to my macbook pro via usb-c a message came up on my macbook stateing that i needed to connect via usb on my macbook ( my macbook is 2018 version, which does not have any usb prots, just 4 usc prots)This product worked amazingly smooth, qick to install and hastle free.The company delivered within the next day too which was fabulous!!

I have quite a few DVDs and a MacBook Air without a DVD player so I thought it was time to buy a plug in player and watch some of my favourite films without having to re- buy them.This player had good reviews on here and another review site so I took advantage of Prime Day and bought it for a really decent price.It arrived quickly and I've just tested it out. It seems to work really well so far - just plug in and play. I couldn't see an icon for the player and was only able to eject the DVD when I noticed an icon for the DVD itself on my desktop. That worked fine, although I found it frustrating that I couldn't find an icon for the actual player itself.I'm not sure whether having no eject button is a going to annoy me, I will need to use the player a few times to decide. In the meantime I will give the player four stars and review my review in a few weeks.

Didn’t work for my Mac (late 2012) so don’t feel I can review. Tried all troubleshooting options but it would not connect. Provided full refund.

Maybe I just got a dud as the reviews for CD drive were the reason for buying it. It didn't work from the get go. My mac couldn't see the drive even though it was saying it was mounted. After several calls with Customer care they finally said that it's not compatible with a mac! Which of course the blurb clearly stated that it was!! So I checked it out on a PC, and that's when the DVD got stuck! I managed to release it and checked with another DVD just incase the 1st one was corrupted. This time it was in there for ever!! Amazon told me to contact the manufacturer and when I tried this it just looped me back to the Prime page!

The packaging is very essential, I found only the DVDV player and a leafleft with the instructions. ( but I didn't expect nothing more)The DVD reader design as well is very minimalist with an alluminium case and no other buttons.Once connected to the laptop (Windows 10 v. 18.03) it is immediately recognised and ready to be used.I bought to read a couple of DVD with drivers and so far it worked perfectly.Worth noticing that, since there is no eject button on the case, you will need to use the eject command of the context menu of the DVD reader icon.

Next-day delivery, well packed and identical in appearance to the SuperDrive but at well under half the price. Plugged the unit into the USB port on my MacBook Pro and it was immediately recognised. Inserted a CD and Apple Music opened automatically. Uploaded Mozart's Symphony No. 40 then played it back through my HiFi system using a bluetooth adapter. Perfect. Couldn't wish for a more satisfying experience and would recommend it without reservation. Ideal for modern laptops without internal drive.

Ok disc reader, but due to the lack of an ejection button, I have had a few discs get stuck. I have managed to force eject but it’s not the best disc reader. I wouldn’t recommend this product

I wanted to import a number of CD's to my iTunes library. I needed a CD reader but bought this one as it can burn CD's too. The device comes out of the box with a USB connector and comes with a USB to USB C convertor which is a bonus to MAC users. Good product for the money so I'm pleased with my choice.
