Brancaphile: A Fernet-Branca Cocktail Book (Clapham Cocktails) Paperback – 6 July 2024

I would recommend this book to anyone who - like me - has fallen under the spell of Fernet Branca and is looking for new ways to explore its many layers of flavour. Some of the best drinks are marked with an asterisk, and I've been working my way through those first. So far my favourites are the Bernardino Manhattan, which seems to be a refinement of the vintage-style Fernet cocktail, and Ice Pick No 1, where the power of Fernet is harnessed by the mighty Jamaican, Wray and Nephew, in a refreshing new take on the classic Corpse Reviver. Don't expect a history of Fernet, detailed instructions or any chat about the entries. This is very much a recipe book aimed at the enthusiast.
