This is a supplement I didn't know I needed. I love taking supplements that support antiaging and/or cognitive functions. While I can't say I saw the antiaging effects from this, though it is said to support the skin-I can say this helps clear the brain fog out within an hour or so on the days I take it. This obviously won't give you Limitless type of powers, but on a day where you may need slightly more concentration, like to fill out paperwork, this may be helpful. It is mild-like drinking a cup of tea. I did not notice any side effects, but as I am not familiar with this as a supplement long term, and it is not commonly taken (though it is a natural ingredient in foods), I will not take this daily, but as needed. Especially because this does not indicate it has been third-party tested for safety. There is just a generic "lab tested" claim. And there is no indication of which country and/or what ingredient where it has been sourced. Other sources of this ingredient in natural forms that may be safer, rather than something lab created, are in lion's mane mushrooms and oyster mushrooms.

These are good-quality capsules. They are easy to swallow and are a 4-month supply. Ingredients are quality and this is a bargain.

So L-ergothioneine is an amino acid that can have many benefits. The main reason I use it is for inflammation. There are other potential benefits such as antioxidant values, liver function, neurological and even better looking skin. For effectiveness, two months into taking these and I can only go by reputation on evaluating this supplement: it takes a clinical study to tell how much of a difference such a supplement makes. There is no clear, drastic change for me that I could attribute to taking this supplement, and I cannot compare myself taking this supplement with myself not taking it over the same time period. For one sure thing, I had no adverse reaction, and no medical event over the time span I have been taking this supplement.
