For someone with 3A curls who has struggled to find the right tools, this brush offers solid performance with a few minor limitations. The vented design works well for reducing drying time and preventing heat damage. Air flows through nicely when I'm diffusing, and the spacing helps separate curls naturally without creating frizz. The brush does an excellent job of detangling wet hair without pulling or breaking strands, which has been a game-changer for my fragile curls. Curl definition is where this brush really shines. It helps create more uniform, well-formed spirals and reduces the uneven curl pattern I used to get. My curls look more polished and defined after using this brush with my styling products. The shape and size work well for sectioning hair and creating consistent curl patterns. The handle is comfortable and lightweight, making it easy to maneuver through thick, curly hair. The bristles are gentle enough for wet hair but firm enough to provide good tension for shaping. I appreciate that it doesn't snag or catch on knots like some other brushes I've tried. However, I've noticed the bristles starting to show some wear after about four months of regular use. A few have bent slightly, though they're still functional. The brush also works better on some curl types than others - it's perfect for loose to medium curls but might not be ideal for tighter curl patterns. Overall, this is a solid curly hair brush that delivers on its promises. Good value for the results it provides.

I'm really surprised with this brush because it's gotten knots out of my hair that I didn't even know that I had. My scalp is very soft meaning that any pull or tug hurts. My hair isn't necessarily thick enough to benefit from the defining pieces on the side but for the price and the quality I will be keeping and continuing to use this brush.

Worked great for removing tangles in my son’s hair. Drying time was cut in half. It’s easy to use, until handle gets wet/slippery. Only downside is the side snapped after 2 weeks of use.

Bristles are very stiff and not gentle on curly mixed race hair (3C curl pattern). Would work better on type 2 curls. I have to use another brush to get through tangles and then this brush to style.
