The winchester ts20 is a decent safe found cheap at tractor supply but ive read alot of bad things about the electric keypad and couldnt sleep good untill it was replaced. I asked around on forums and reddit but everyone said it wasnt possible to install this sargent greenleaf lock or was way too much work. It did take the better part of a day but that was with running around to find a tap. It actually wasnt too bad and didnt even have to drag my welder out! This new lock body if centered on the existing hole (for the cheap back up key lock inside the electric keypad) will be obstructed slightly by the sliding lock lug plate. I removed the lug bar and plate along with the old cheap elec lock and centered the new lock body over the hole in a vertical down position. Marked and center punched the 4 holes for the new lockbody and drilled with a 13/64 drill bit then tapped the 4 holes with a 1/4-20 tap. On the other side i had to drill 2 holes for the dial ring and just screwed it in without tapping using sheet metal screws. Next thing was to mark the locks lug in the retracted and extended position to find out how much of the sliding lock lug plate needed trimmed. I planned to cut the piece off and weld it where it needed to be but got very lucky!.... The cut off sliding plate piece has a hole in it. Theres also a hole left on the sliding lock plate, they line up nearly perfect with where the new lock needed this plate edge! I threw a bolt with washers on it and added a self tapping screw above it for good measure. Everything mechanically worked at this point so finished the install following the 13yr old youtube video everyone references. Install went smooth and this lock feels much more secure and reliable then the cheap electronic lock that was sure to fail. Hope this helps someone.

Oh yes you should definitely get this to replace that digital lock it’ll always work and it’s easy to install I just watched someone on YouTube install theirs didn’t take about 10 to 15 minutes and hey if there’s ever an EMP you’ll be all good because it’s manual no electrical components it’s better to be safe then sorry especially when it comes to your actual pew pew safe!!! Fit, functionality, quality all 100% can’t go wrong well unless you can’t read instructions or use tools hmmm!!!
