I ordered some of these glow-sticks a few weeks ago for my kids and their friends to wear on Halloween night with their costumes. I remembered driving around the year prior and it being so dark I could hardly see any of the kids walking around. But one group of kids stood out, they all had glow necklaces on. It was easy for people and cars to see them in the dark and I took note of that. So this year I picked up this set, to tie onto my kids candy bags.After school my kids and several of their friends came here to get dressed up in their costumes and have us take them around for the night. We tied a glow sticks to each of the kids bags. They loved them! Besides being a way for people to see them, the kids have fun with the glow sticks and so did all their friends. Each stick also comes with a removable clear cap that has a loop on it so the sticks can be attached to things. Also included is quite a bit of pre-cut red string, that resembles a soft ribbon like material. You can use this for tying the glow sticks to all kinds of things. Everything you need is in the container with the sticks. The glow sticks are very thick, bright and not a single one was activated prior to arrival. I would not hesitate to order these again. They're perfect!

The glow sticks were a hit.. the plastic cover held well.. The string .. well not the greatest.. I had to triple knot it to keep it tied. Maybe the string was too shiny that it slipped off? It was aggravating but luckily the 20 four year olds didn't care about the string.. they just held the glow sticks during our night hayride. The sticks were awesome.. VERY bright.. I definitely will buy them again.. now that I know that I need to just toss the string. FYI - I wasn't really feeling the string around the necks of 4 year olds in the dark anyway.

I allowed my toddler to handle one of these for a while because I gave one to her older sister to play with and in a short amount of time went in their room to check on them and there was glowing fluid all over her bed. Somehow she managed to break her glow stick open. I recommend following age guidelines and keep an eye on your young ones if you're going to allow them to play with one. It's hard to allow a child to have one and have to tell your other child no. At any rate, the product is good; they are bright and last a decent amount of time.

Got these for a glow bowling party. I had bought lanyards for them but it turns out they come with small ribbons that you could use to attache them to somthing. Of the whole lot of them 100% worked. After much crazyness somecame apart from their inserts with the hook (you attach those seperately) but considering we are talking crazy five year olds running like mad I think it is fair to say they hold pretty well. A little piece of tape or a few drops of glue might be a good idea if these are to be used for a real major active event. The few sticks we brought home glowed for at least overnight. I don't know the exact length of the sticks but they were longer than my cell phone held length wise and 15 kids running around with them had quite a presence. Would buy again!

This is my second time purchasing these glowsticks. They work well and are a big hit in our hit. Oddly, the ones that I got the second time around are different than the first order. The first order came packaged in a tube and were nice enough that they were gift-able. The second order came in a plain white box. I had wanted to give these as a gift for a 6 year old for an upcoming birthday party. We'll keep them for ourselves - but thank goodness I have enough time to find a second gift. The plain white box just doesn't look like fun for a kid to unwrap. I expected the product to be the same. If you've bought before - just be aware you may receive something different.

Glow sticks are glow sticks...but these came packaged nicely in a tube and included 25 individual thick red strings (each around 2 ft) to make necklaces out of the sticks. Great for my purposes - to make the kids more visible during trick or treating. An added bonus is that they last long. We activated one last evening and this morning (11 hrs later) the sticks were still glowing pretty brightly. The kids were surprised that they sticks were still glowing. The plastic casings were pretty thick too, so I can't see this leaking unless a good effort is made. Good product at a good price.Y2013 Update: I purchased these again this year for Halloween. Same great quality, and long lasting sticks. Inferior versions of these were $10 for a dozen at the local party store, so this is a good deal.

These glow sticks are cheap and not as nice as the military style sticks, but for the price they can't be beat. The kids love them for playing in the campground at night and we like being able to keep track of the kiddos by watching the glow sticks! They also make good nightlights for the tent and the impressive part is that they lasted two nights, much longer than some glow sticks I've bought.
