Excellent product... Could be "silkier" but I'll stay with Horace
What can I say? I do love Horace products: As per this moisturiser it does works by mattifying the skin, but it doesn't "feel" like a moisturiser, it feels thick like the suncream you would smear all over your face while on holidays in Spain. That is not bad per se but it's "different". I do like it suppose to be a moisturiser with mattifying effect plus sun protection (as it should be) and despite being thick it does absorbs quickly. Also a little goes far so it doesn't feel heavy on the face. This is my morning moisturiser after the Horace salicylic serum. At night I use the Horace bio retinol followed by the Hirace moisturiser without sun protection. (All for obvious reasons)Best skincare routine I've ever had, money well spent, backed by science and endorsed by me.

Does the job!
A great product. I am bald and in my 50’s . My doctor advised me to get a moisturiser and sun block to protect my skin. This does the job , is mattifying as the name suggests. I’m on my second tube.

Second bottle
This is now my second bottle as I enjoyed the first so much. What is strange, the first bottle had a very thick consistency and took quite a bit of rubbing in (which is fine) however the second bottle seems considerably 'wetter', which means it appears to go farther. Either way, lovely moisturiser which doesn't leave your face feeling claggy. The SPF must work, as when I used in Turkey i could see the tanlines around the top of my forehead where I clearly didn't rub the cream into, so there's your evidence.

Good product
Does what it says. High coverage, not 50 SPF which would make it really good. Stays in place and matte not shiny.

Great non greasy cream for men's routine - Horace matifying face mositurizer
Other half is happy with this moisturizer. It absorbs very well and after few weeks of use, skin feels softer and well hydrated.Initially, he was opposed to it (matifying) but found it well absorbed and basically invisible on his skin.Being a matifier, it doesn't leave any shine or greasiness on the skin which he likes. It is unscented cream which is another plus for him.He uses the Horace serum so introducing this moisturizer into his skin routine - he's now sold on the brand.Quality product and I also can feel his skin much softer and slightly plumpier.

Decent but not greatest
Wasn’t what I expected… the dry flat finish… I know it says matifying, but a bit too flat for me.

A great all-round moisturiser
I've been searching for a moisturizer with SPF that isn't greasy, doesn't have alcohol high on the ingredients list, no artificial scent, and mattifies my oily skin (and doesn't cost the earth). I stumbled across this one by Horace and so far it's been great. Does exactly what it claims and goes on well. My skin feels a satin like matte quickly after application and lasts a while. The mineral sunscreen is a bonus and feels good without leaving a white cast. And so far no breakouts. The smell is mainly of aloe vera and unlike another review, I found it subtle and not unpleasant. It was quite reassuring that it wasn't full of scent cancelling chemicals, or even worse, perfume. This is far better than my last attempt to find a good mattifying moisturiser - Demalogica Clear Start, which was mediocre, and more expensive. The Horace is a solid option and so far may well be a repeat purchase.
