Good for home use and standard weights
The media could not be loaded. I've got two sets of non-Olympic plates and bars for home use. The plate trees available don't always accommodate the 1" plates I have - many more are for 2" Olympic plates. I debated getting a rack, but found that my smaller diameter plates may not fit, so I opted for a tree where I could also store my bars. This tree stood out, having the features that I wanted. Yes, I read about the screws stripping, loose parts, and "wiggly" construction and took the chance.Overall, I'm VERY pleased with the set.Box was thick and sturdy, everything packed and wrapped well, no loose parts. There were a couple of dings on the box, but no parts damage from those dings.Base went together easily with the suggested socket and open-end wrenches. No stripped bolts. The 3-part base is solid, very impressed with it.The vertical piece attached to the base without an issue, but it didn't mount flush and I could wiggle it - see video. This is why I marked the product down on sturdiness. Closer inspection showed a gap on all three sides of the T connection of the vertical, so something is off in the measurement and drilling of the holes between the cross-member of the base and the T. I used a cut section of foam drawer liner draped over the base in between the screws to use as a shim / cushion. It worked: the vertical no longer moves and it's 5-star sturdy as it should be. However, the customer should NOT have to come up with a solution, and given the fit and finish of the other parts, there's no reason this should have happened. There is a minor spot of paint chipped off on the T of the vertical. It doesn't match the box dings, so I suspect this happened at the manufacturer. It would also not be the reason that the whole T didn't seat properly. I wouldn't mark the product down for this as it's minor and doesn't interfere with the product's purpose. No problems with the weight pegs themselves. It's wonderful to have all my plates not spread out on the floor, have a place for my bars, and not spend double or triple the money to do it for a simple need as mine. If the manufacturer could get that alignment right on the vertical attachement, they'd have a marvelous product.

Recommend without hesitation
I bought this to hold weights in a workout room in my basement. For this home use application, the rack is very stout and solid looking. I chose this one because the footprint seemed wide enough to give good stability and it was not the cheapest. It could certainly hold more weight than I have put on it.The product was REALLY well packaged and the assembly instructions were very clear and darn near idiot proof. I very much appreciated all the contact information (email and phone) in the box. I did have a problem with one of the horizontal storage bars – the threads had given way. I contacted Valor by email and Evan Athey could not have been more helpful. A new bar was shipped to me. It worked perfectly. I put the defective bar in the shipping box, put on the provided return address and took to UPS. Wish that all my business interactions went this well. I found Valor Fitness a real pleasure to deal with.

Product NOT made with precision
The middle piece of this weight lifting tree's bracket was horribly made. The bracket does not slide on smoothly and tightless to the bottom piece. Heck, the bracket isn't even close to form fitting around the base piece. Along with the screw holes being cut awfully, and not cut to be just large enough for the bolts to through, causes the whole tree to rock back and forth and side to side UNLESS you can jam a bunch of spacers into it to prevent this, which is what I sadly had to do to feel safe enough to load this tree. It was a decent headache getting this tree to be stable with my own DIY work, a solid few hours of work JUST to fix poor craftsmanship. DO NOT BUY THIS unless you want to DIY fix it yourself. Otherwise, the product it self is quite sturdy, it just simply wasn't made with remotely any precision.

Great weight tree!
Came well packaged, no damage, no loose parts. Four nylons bands and tape holding the box together, very secure. Easy to assemble, and works excellent. As stated in the other review the pegs are chrome. Mine also differs slightly from the picture. Where the "tower" of the tree connects to the base, there is a flat bracket with four holes welded onto the tower which then bolts to the base from the top down. In the picture you see that there is a "horse-shoe" style bracket welded to the tower and fastens onto the base from the side with two bolts. I called Valor and they said they were getting some play with the hore-shoe bracket , so they switched to the other style. Don't know if this is true or not, seems the horse-shoe bracket would supply more side to side stability which is what you want. Either way it's stable, but I wouldnt vigorously rack my plates with disregard for stability. The bar holders work very well, nice and snug. For the $$$ it's a solid value, it looks more expensive than what it is. I posted a pic with it racked with 485lbs.(6-45's, 2-35's, 2-25's, 6-10's, 6-5's, and 2-2.5's).

Very nice for the money!!
I am very happy with this plate rack! One minor complaint is that when I unpacked the rack, several of the parts had come loose during shipping. The package from the outside looked undamaged but once I opened it up, several part had broke free in shipping and one of the parts was scratched. I am not too worried about it since it will probably get scratched from use anyway. The rack was easy to assemble and is well built and very solid. This rack will also hold full Olympic plates. I noticed that some of the other plate racks would not hold the larger Olympic plates. One other think I noticed is in the picture it shows the bar holders as being chrome. They are not chrome on the one I got. Again, no big deal. For the money, this is a very solid rack!

A very heavy duty and high resistance rack
This is a good rack to put professional plates in it. The only flaw is that the middle pegs are almost useless. If you put plates in the upper and lower pegs, it is impossible to put plates in those middle pegs. I was able to put my barbell clamps in the middle peg. If they make the post a bit taller it might be possible to accommodate the middle pegs and use them to put more plates. Still is a good rack and I am happy with it. Good product.

I love it
Sturdy, easy to assemble, fast shipping. I wish my multifunction rack was as sturdy as this weight plate tree. Can’t recommend this enough!

The best olympic plate tree out there.
This is by far the best olympic weight tree I’ve ever seen, including in real gyms. It’s compact, looks great, holds York Legacy olympic plates no problem, the chrome is gentle on the plate holes (believe it or not, I have a rogue plate tree with rough posts that rip little chunks off the plates, while this doesn’t do that), it holds two olympic bars, and can support an Olympic landmine. Definitely worth the money.
