Are these socks thin or thick ???

They are thick enough on the foot bottom that I can walk around on brick floors and their do not tear or show wear. They do not pill badly like other compression socks I have (especially CEP). They are not thick enough to push up your show size even 1/2 a size and fit more like trouser socks than stockings. The calf part is thin and compressive but not restrictive and the cuff below the knee is thick but not overly compressive.

Should I use a special detergent to hand wash these socks? Are there some types to avoid?

Hello, that's a good question! NEWZILL emails every customer a PDF that shows how to care for our compression socks. Basically, NEWZILL recommends hand washing with warm water and mild soap or detergent. NO chlorine bleach. NO fabric softener as this can break down the compression fibers. Warm water rinse. Hang or lay flat to air-dry. May dry in a dryer on low heat or delicate setting. However, if you prefer machine-wash, placing your stockings in a mesh laundry bag will help protect them during the wash cycle. Thank you!

Are they mens or womens sizes? It doesn't specify.

The uni sex chart is wrong it shows women shoe size as a 14 equal to a man’s 16? Not in the USA it’s backwards and misleading

Super comfy

These are as bright as I was hoping for & also super comfortable. I wore them for my first run & they felt fantastic. I was worried they might be big as I’m a size 4 but they fit fine. I will definitely be buying more of these funky socks in different patterns.
